*Note that this is pretty accurate- not 100% though. It’s run through software that is generally very accurate and then I give it a quick once over but there are most likely some errors.

[00:00:00] Speaker A: Today we’re doing the most comprehensive analysis of the Araster horror film Hereditary. We’re going to walk through the entire film, and I’ll discuss the hidden and not so hidden occult symbolism, the meaning of the wall inscriptions, Satoni Pandemonium, Zazas, necromancy rituals, blood sacrifices, her, Hercules and the oracle at deli, Alistor Crowley, Kenneth Grant, Enochian language, Satanic secret societies, Paymon, the demon, and so much more. Join me here on occult symbolism and pop culture.

I told you we were get this out before Halloween, and we’re gonna make it just under the gun. All right.

Didn’t want to disappoint you.

So, as always, should you watch this before I spoil the plot and such? Well, this might be a curveball.

I think this movie is so horrific, so queasy, that I’m gonna tell you. No, I’m gonna tell you. Do not watch it.

I watched this movie in the theater. When it came out, me and Jimmy the jackhammer went in there.

I walked away feeling gross.

I said, you know, that was probably the greatest horror movie of all time, and I never need to watch it again. I’m not watching that movie again.

Which I guess is kind of the ultimate in the horror experience.

And, you know, there I was hosting Scary Movie Night at the house, and this film gets brought up. So there I was. I watched it again.

I watched it again. Oh, man.

But, yeah, I.

And we’re going to talk about the idea that you are part of the ritual. All right? This thing could be charging up a sigil to this demon by watching it. Maybe. How crazy do you want to get? I don’t know. I’m gonna bring it out in the exciting conclusion. We’re gonna break that down.

In fact, I’m gonna exonerate this film from that. Ah, exciting. Exciting stuff in the conclusion.

Now, who’s in this movie? Well, you know, Toni Collette plays the mom, Annie Lee.

She’s interesting because she was in that show United States of Tara, about dissociative identity disorder, which, ironically, would later inspire Indy, Navarette’s character and Obsession, which I had just read that the actors in Obsession read, or, I’m sorry, watch Hereditary together because there’s similar parallel ideas to be found there.

Now, the movie is directed by Ari Aster, who made his debut with this. This film, which, I mean, it’s a banger, dude. It’s.

I’m not gonna say it’s not. I’m gonna say it’s the scariest, most horrific movie ever made.

And I stand on that it’s.

It’s scarier than the Exorcist.

It’s more brutal than Texas Chainsaw. It’s. It’s.

And. And I.

I can admire that it sparingly uses the gore.

Anyway, it’s. It’s quite the movie. So Ari Astor put this one out. Then he did. Did Midsommar, which I saw in the theater, too, because that. It also. I was watching as. Why do I watch this guy’s movies? He’s too much.

Bo is afraid, which I have not seen.

Eddington, which I started. Didn’t finish. Not that it was bad. I just. You know how life goes sometimes, you know, get busy. He was also the producer of Begonia, which I loved, and Prime Time, which I’ve not seen yet, which I believe is a hit piece on Chris Hansen.

Why are we doing a hit piece on Chris Hansen?

Right, we already know why.

Because these creepers are everywhere, and they’re trying to mess with the media. Anyway, this film was another banger by a 24 before Kushner’s family got their tentacles into this, which I’m sure. A24. That was the heyday up until this year when Kushner’s family bought in on a 24. It was the greatest.

But we’ll see. You know, maybe I could be proven wrong. Also. A quick, fun fact before we start. This movie was filmed in the great state of Utah. That’s right. Right here in Salt Lake City. Park City.

That’s why it’s so beautiful. All right, now, before we start the film, Quick Housekeeping, I. I’m taking the last set of pre orders for my Twin Peaks books. She’s filled with secrets. In fact, I got Ryan. Amara is right there.

Literally right there, ready to sign and ship.

So shout out Ryan and Mora. Am I saying your name right? Mara. Mara.

Sorry. So I’ve taken this last set of pre orders because at I should get my next two shipments in of books starting this weekend and then the next weekend, and I should be completely, like, in stock, such that if you want to buy it, you can just get it. Okay.

I know this got weird with the pre orders. I didn’t know so many people wanted to buy this book. I.

Everyone was bitching about Twin Peaks for the two years I did the Gray Lodge series, and I almost didn’t write the book. Thank goodness I did. So you can get your pre order signed copy@ult symbolism.com. i’ll also be updating the Oops All Books bundle. If you were like, hey, I want to buy all the books, Isaac, in a mega discounted package. Well, it’s going to be 10 books now. Once I get this, once I get all my pre orders satisfied, and then I’ve got a nice surplus. You get what I’m saying? All right. Also, if you’re consuming this video or, I’m sorry, if you’re consuming this podcast episode on the audio, may I suggest con trying out the video version? All right, try the video version. I’ve got a YouTube channel at a cult symbolism. I’m still trying to grow to 100,000 by the end of the year. Is it going to happen? Not likely. Not likely. Unless you want to share it with a friend. You can help me. Let’s do it now with YouTube. You got the pesky ads. You got the pesky ads, and you’re not going to get the clips. I’m going to play a couple clips from the movie in fair use, of course, to demonstrate the points that I’m making.

So if you’re like, well, dude, I don’t. I want the full banger, right? You. You can go support the show. Add for yearly access monthly bonus content@patreon.com Illuminati Watcher. All right, and where you’ll. You’ll need to go Tier 2 at Patreon or Tier 2 at the VIP section. See the links. You’ll know if you don’t know what I’m talking about. But Patreon’s kind of the most popular. Go tier two. That unlocks the video version of the show because, like I said, I’ve got clips. I got hundreds of images from the film, all in fair use.

YouTube. YouTube won’t let me play the video clips. They hate me. I don’t know what to tell you.

If they would let me, I would do it. Trust me. Okay, let’s go plot spoilers. Coming up.

You’ve been warned. Let’s go. Starts out, the movie has. We’re. They’re reading a. On the screen, you can read a eulogy of Ellen Lee. That’s Annie’s mom. That’s Grandma. All right? Grandma’s dead.

And now we’re in a house. And inside the house, there’s an art studio, and inside the art studio, there’s another house, a diorama, okay?

And it zooms in, and there’s a room. And now you’re in this little toy house, this little diorama, and there’s people moving it. So now we’re in the diorama watching this movie. That’s where they start this thing and you can see where the movie Heretic, which I did an analysis on when just last year, that’s where they got the idea and I talked about it, and Hugh Grant’s character and Heretic about the as above so below situation, right? Because these. This is a film tactic they use. They zoom in, and it’s on the constructed inner world of this little diorama toy house, okay? It’s as above, so below, as within. So without, it’s a hermetic action going back to Hermes and alchemy and all this stuff, right? Means the stuff tied to the cosmos is tied into the. Through the silver cord of theosophy down to the earth, right? So magicians, they think, oh, I can. I can change the world through energy and through manipulation of the cosmos.

It’s like the foundations of Western esotericism.

So now we’re introduced to dad. That’s Stephen, and he’s waking up the son, Peter, and they head out to this giant tree house that’s in their backyard because they’re in the woods, right?

And must be up Old Cottonwood Canyon. I don’t know. I don’t know where it is in Utah. It’s not like tons of forest out here, but there is, you know, you go into the Uenas or up Cottonwood Canyon, there’s trees.

So they find the trees in Utah and they go there, and that’s where they live. So.

So Peter and Dad, Stephen, they wake. They go out to the treehouse in their backyard to wake up the daughter, Charlie. All right, those are just the four main characters you’re going to see throughout the movie, right? Mom, dad, son, daughter, Annie, Steven, Peter, Charlie. So the family, they get Charlie up because they’re headed to Grandma’s funeral.

Mom’s giving the speech at the funeral, and she talks about how, you know, she’s seeing so many strange new faces that she never saw before and how Grandma, you know, she was a secretive woman with rituals. Take a listen to this.

[00:09:10] Speaker B: It’s heartening to see so many strange new faces here today.

I know my mom would be very touched and probably a little suspicious to see this turnout.

So.

My mother was a very secretive and private woman.

She had private rituals, private friends, private anxieties.

It honestly feels like a betrayal just to be standing here talking about it. Her, She was a very difficult woman to read, if you ever thought you knew what was going on with her. And God forbid you tried to confront that.

But when her life was unpolluted, she could be the sweetest, warmest, most loving person in the world.

She was also incredibly stubborn, which maybe explains me.

You could always count on her to always have the answer.

And if she ever was mistaken, well, that was your opinion, and you were wrong.

[00:10:34] Speaker A: So, Grandma, she sounded like a real battle axe, but she comments that when she’s not on, when she’s unpolluted, she can be nice. What. What are we talking about? Right, because there’s static, there’s friction in the family. It’s. It’s. That’s what makes hereditary kind of interesting. It’s like, it has this family dynamic that a lot of people deal with. Right.

Also notice the necklace mom is wearing. Very strange necklace.

And then furthermore, Charlie, she is viewing Grandma’s body in the casket and zooms in on the same necklace. The same necklace is on Grandma. Must be some family necklace. I don’t know.

Of course, we’re going to unpack what it is, but you’ll notice in the background, some mega creep is smiling at Charlie. It’s very weird. So then Charlie’s eating a chocolate bar. Dad’s like, hey, is there nuts in that chocolate bar?

Mom comments, that boy, I hope there’s no nuts in that chocolate bar, because they don’t have the EpiPen. All right?

Everything in the scene is massive foreshadowing because she’s allergic to nuts.

So they get back home, Annie, mom, she’s working on an art exhibit called Small World, where we find out she’s the artist. She’s the one creating these little scenes inside these tiny dioramas, specifically, a.

A hospice.

So we see she’s kind of using her real life in her art because that’s probably Grandma at the hospice.

We know she’s up against a deadline.

She’s trying to get this done. But Grandma died, and this whole thing, right? And then mom, she checks in on Charlie.

Charlie’s also an artist. She has the sketchbook. And inside the sketchbook, she’s drawing Grandma in the casket. So she’s also using art to process the tragedies of her real life.

And mom talks about how much Grandma loved Charlie and insisted on feeding her. Like, trying to mother her or something, right? That’s, like, part of this tension, I guess. And Charlie says, she wanted me to be a boy.

Why did she want her to be a boy? We’re gonna find out later.

Mom notices on Charlie’s wall, there’s a word inscribed satoni, S A T O N Y.

Now, this is a term found in the occult. It’s used to command the dead in necromancy. Rituals, right? Raising the dead, talking to the dead. And I found a. A book online, a PDF called Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huss.

And there’s a section of the book called Necromancy of Intelligence. And it’s supposed. It talks about how you do this ne necromancy ritual on a new moon. There’s 13 days of preparation where you meditate on a photo of the deceased that you’re trying to communicate with. And you set up the magic ritual space, you know, your altar with the athen, the dagger, the circle, you know, because they draw circles and triangles on the floor in magic rituals to conjure up demons and protect the magician at the same time.

You say some Latin phrases, do some movements, and tracing the circle, right?

Which you’re supposed to trace a circle and a cross, which the text says it derives from the alchemical rose cross, right? Like the Rosacrucian Cross, which it then connects into the world of the skull and crossbones found in the Knights Templar and Masonic traditions alongside witchcraft.

Very illuminate, confirmed. And it says that this is the sign of Osiris right there in the text because it’s all about resurrecting the dead, right? Crossing over, resurrecting the dead. Now, you do see all the stuff, and you should see a spirit in the. The triangle from incense. And it says that, you know, it depends on how good of a magician you are. Will. Will determine how much that this smoke will take on the full shape of the apparition of the dead spirit you’re communicating with.

Now, my critique of the occult and all these magicians and stuff is that I think that there’s a lot of this stuff going on in their head. I think it’s a lot of imagination, a lot of subjectivity. And this just adds to the fact that there is some of that, because they’re like, well, if you’re. Look, if you don’t. If you just see a little bit of smoke, a little bit of something with your eyes, you know, maybe you’re not good enough magician.

So in the conclusion of this operation, in the book, we’re still reading from the book here, you command the spirit depart. And that’s where this term comes in. Satoni de joone, iron, etc. Etc. Goes on and on.

So technically, satoni is a command to make a spirit departure, which to me doesn’t actually make a lot of sense in the context of what this story is about. But, hey, that’s just what I saw.

So mom, she’s reminiscing, I guess, through A box of Grandma’s old photos or whatever. And she sees this book that’s called Notes on Spiritualism.

And inside is a letter written to her talking about how, Look, Annie, all these sacrifices made, they’re going to pay off.

It specifically says, my darling, dear, beautiful Annie, forgive me. All the things I could not tell you. Please don’t hate me, and try not to despair. Your losses, you will see in the end that they were worth it. Our sacrifice will pale next to the rewards.

So Grandma, she knows there’s some blood sacrifices, some rituals going on, and all she tells Annie is like, look, it’s going to be worth it.

At this point, we’re like, does Annie know? I don’t know.

Then mom sees while she’s looking at this book, she sees in the shadow out of the corner of her eye, Grandma in the corner, which kind of sounds like the dim vision of the triangle of manifested spirit in the smoke from the ritual.

All right, so next day, we’re at school. Peter’s in class, and just like Nightmare on Elm street, where they are discussing. What were they discussing in the first Nightmare on Elm Street? In the class classroom.

It was something about the dream world. Was it Edgar Allan Poe? I don’t remember. If you know, drop it in the comments, whatever platform you’re on.

It’s kind of like that. Peter’s in the classroom and they’re talking about Heracles, which is the, you know, Hercules and the Oracle of the Delphi. And there’s discuss. Discussion about a fatal flaw. Right now they’re talking about this fatal flaw of Hercules while Peter is staring at the girl’s ass right in front of him. That’s clearly his fatal flaw.

Which turns out, again, foreshadowing, that will be his fatal flaw.

And I looked this up. This is the story of the Oracle at Delphi in Greece, right? And her prediction of Hercules’s death, that he would be killed by someone who was already dead. Huh? More dead people.

Which happened when his own wife put toxic blood of a dead centaur on his robe and that killed him somehow.

But the point is, is that this is a lesson on fate and determinism versus free will and agency, because that also plays a role in this film. And it’s a question of how much free will does the family have over their lives?

Or have they been set up in a position such that their future is already chosen for them?

So Charlie, she’s at school and she’s outside. She finds a dead bird. She cuts its head off with the scissors.

And across the street. There’s a woman watching her. Who’s this woman? Why is she fangirling on Charlie? Huh? Very strange. Kind of like in the funeral home. Remember at the funeral, grandma, there was that creepy dude in the corner smiling at Charlie.

So mom’s at home and she walks down the hall to grandma’s old room, and she looks in the room and there’s a giant triangle on the floor.

Then she goes over to Stephen, her husband, the dad, and she’s like. And the issue isn’t that there was a giant triangle on the floor, but that the door was open.

We all know what this means, right? Illuminate confirmed. Grandma, she’s doing ritual magic. She’s channeling entities, she’s talking to the dead, and she’s conjuring up entities in a triangle of manifestation in. In the bedroom of the house.

So dad gets a phone call.

The funeral home calls him, and apparently grandma’s tomb has been desecrated. He doesn’t tell his wife.

Could you imagine you bury your mother in law and.

And the. The place has been desecrated. You don’t tell your wife.

It’s a fatal flaw. It’s the Hercules, oracle of the Delphi thing, right? No. Communication is deadly in a marriage.

That’s what it is. And mom says, hey, I’m going to the movies.

Turns out she’s going to a support group for grief. Right.

See again, fatal flaw.

Lying.

It’s a throne of lies.

And there’s a woman in there at this support group and she’s telling a story of her lost person and how this person would say, I’m a bird, I’m a bird, I’m a bird.

That’s what you hear when, when Annie’s walking into the meeting.

And I.

They always do this. I always plant like little things, kind of like Obsession. They plant the. When they’re at the. I did a show about obsession. If you haven’t heard it, you go check that out.

When they are at the trivia night, if you listen closely, they’re doing trivia about Alad, the movie Aladdin, which is about a genie and three wishes, which is like the one wish willow and so on, right? So they talk about, I’m a bird, I’m a bird, I’m a bird.

And we just saw Charlie cut the head off a bird.

What does it all mean? Well, the birds could be some connection to the divine.

Back in the ancient times, they would look through bird guts to determine omens and predict the future.

So Annie, she’s talking to the Group. And she says, I’m there because I lost my mom last week. But then she says also that she was forced to come to these a couple of years ago, and it helped her pump the brakes. Why?

Right. Why was she at this grief group a couple years ago?

It wasn’t because her mom died, because her mom just died. Wasn’t because her father died, because we find out that her father died when she was a baby.

It wasn’t because her brother died. Her brother died when she was a child.

Right. Her whole family is full of death.

So why. Right.

And she proceeds to say that she.

Her whole family had tons of Dissociative identity disorder and schizophrenia, and that her brother claimed that they were trying to put people inside of him, trying to channel entities inside of him.

I mean, it. It goes by so quick. The first time you watch this movie, you probably don’t even pick up on it. You’re just like, bro, what? In fact, the first time I watched this, the first 30 minutes, I was like, this is kind of a boring movie.

And then I rewatched it. This is my fourth time watching it to do this analysis. And there’s so much in here. I’m gonna play the clip. Take a listen.

[00:22:07] Speaker B: My name’s Annie.

My mom died a week ago, so I’m just here for trying it.

I have a lot of resistance to things like this, but I came to these a couple years ago. Well, I was forced to come, and I guess it.

I guess it helped. So my mom was old and she wasn’t altogether there at the end, and we were pretty much estranged before that, so it really wasn’t a huge blow.

But I did love her.

And she didn’t have an easy life. She had did, which became extreme at the end, and dementia.

And my father died when I was a baby from starvation because he had psychotic depression and he starved himself, which I’m sure was just as pleasant as it sounds. And then there’s my brother.

My older brother had schizophrenia, and when he was 16, he hanged himself in my mother’s bedroom. And of course he. Suicide? No. Blamed her. Accusing her of putting people inside him. So that was my mom’s life.

And then she lived in our house at the end, before hospice. We weren’t even talking before that. I mean, we were, and then we weren’t, and then we were.

She was completely manipulative until my husband finally enforced a no contact rule, which lasted until I got pregnant with my daughter. I didn’t let her anywhere near me. When I had my first, my Son, which is why I gave her my daughter, who she immediately stabbed her hooks into.

And I just.

I felt guilty again. I felt guilty again when she got sick. Now that she was really even my mom at the of age and not that she would ever feel guilty about anything.

And I just don’t want to put any more stress on my family.

I’m not even really sure if they could.

Could

[00:24:28] Speaker C: give me that support.

And I just. I just feel.

I just sometimes feel like it’s all ruined.

And then I realize that I am to blame or not that I’m too blamed, but I am blamed.

[00:24:57] Speaker D: And what do you think you feel blamed for?

[00:25:05] Speaker C: I don’t know.

[00:25:08] Speaker A: So all that dissociative identity disorder talk is obviously pretty intriguing, right?

Channeling spirits into the body.

It’s all very conspiracy theory talk, right? MK Ultra Project Monarchish, like Kathy o’ Brien story Bloodlines. I mean the film is called Hereditary after all, right? This idea of bloodlines being part of a satanic ritual abuse and secret societies, blood sacrifices. I mean this is all plugged right into the occult conspiracy world, right?

And we. And if you don’t know, I did a 4 part or maybe 5 parts on MK Ultra within the last year. I think it was the beginning of 26. And we talked about Kathy O’ Brien’s story and all this sort of like idea of Monarch programming and going down the bloodline and having satanic ritual abuse happen, right? Because you can fracture the mind easier.

So she talked about how mom talks about how she kept grandma away from Peter, but then when she had Charlie, she stabbed her hooks in.

What does that mean?

Back at the house, Peter’s smoking on that devil’s lettuce and he gets an invite to this huge party. So he lies to his mom. There’s another lie about going to a barbecue because he’s got to borrow her car.

He even lies about alcohol being there. Mom’s cool, she’s like, peter, shut up. Dude is there. If you’re drinking, don’t drive. And he’s like, there’s no alcohol, right?

And then she basically forces him to invite Charlie, right?

All these lies, right? Get into therapy, folks. Open up those lines of communication.

So Charlie is doing her own arts and crafts up in her bedroom with that severed pigeon head.

And you can see in her room there’s like various little art pieces that she’s been working on. And you see this ripple of energy that directs her to look out the window. Something’s guiding her, a spirit.

And you also notice on her wall there’s an X in an inside of an O, right? This is the symbol of the Antichrist, the summoning of Typhon from the abyss. The Antichrist, which I did a whole show on that I don’t know, a couple years ago. If you ever want to, if you ever like dirt, you always reference these shows. Go to illuminatiwatcher.com on the on the side menu tab or at the bottom, if you’re on a phone, you’ll see a thing that says index of every episode. Okay?

And you go there and just do a control f search or however you want to search and look up these terms and you’ll find it. Okay? I also put the link to my index on my link tree, all my links dot com. Isaac W. I S A A C for double awesome, right? Isaac W.

So Charlie, she follows this energy spirit outside and she finds an old woman in the grass with a fire all around her. And that apparently is something we don’t really learn much about. But mom, she runs out and she snatches Charlie up to say, like, hey, you’re going to this party.

And when I first saw this, and even, well, on this last video when I saw this, I thought, is that Grandma? But I actually think it’s someone in this weird grandma cult. We’ll get into it.

Also, Charlie, she has this clicking sound that she does right with her tongue. And she does it the whole car ride to the party with Peter. It’s kind of important to the storyline.

During the drive to the party, the camera zooms in. They drive past this telephone pole and the camera zooms in on it and you see that same sigil that was on the necklaces of Grandma and Annie.

And this is of course, going to be the sigil of Paymon, a demon, which we’re going to break down in the exciting conclusion because there’s so much to talk about. I don’t want to, you know, we got to go through the story first. So Peter and Charlie, they get to this house party.

You know, kids are hanging out, drinking out of red cups.

They’re in the kitchen chopping up just pounds and pounds of walnuts on a cutting board. You know, things kids do at a high school party all the time. I remember all the high school parties I went to. They loved chopping up nuts and making cakes and things.

So, so Peter, he sees old girl from school that he was checking out her booty and he starts trying to spit game to her, entices her with some of that OG Frankenstein Kush. And she’s like, yeah, let’s go smoke.

But first he’s got to distract Charlie, and he’s like, look, go eat a slice of chocolate cake. There’s birthday cake over there. I’m gonna go upstairs and, you know, hang out with this girl.

Look, let’s just hope there’s none of those walnuts in there, right?

So Peter and old girl, they go up to the room, they’re smoking, and turns out the cake’s got the walnuts in it. Charlie feels her throat closing off. She goes upstairs, she tells Peter like, hey, I need my EpiPen. I can’t breathe.

And he, like, clocks what’s going on. He’s like, oh, shoot. So he grabs her, rushes to the car, and.

Because he’s going to rush her to the hospital to get her some help, right? And he speeds off.

He’s hauling down the highway. And then it happens. The scene nobody wanted.

Nobody asked for this. Ari asked her.

Charlie has her head out the window trying to breathe air in, okay? Because she can’t breathe. And Peter swerves to miss an animal in the road.

And he gets too close to that same telephone pole with the sigil of Paymon on it, and off her head goes.

Yep. And this is. This was more horrific than anything I can describe on this. Like, you’d have to watch it, you. You know, if you’ve seen it, you know? And Peter, he can’t even look in the back seat. He. He. The car comes to a stop.

He knows what’s going on. Her body’s back there. She’s not huffing and puffing anymore. He won’t even look back there. He’s just traumatized. And he’s like, oh, right, not good.

This is the scene that me and Jimmy were in. Jimmy the jackhammer were in the theater. And we both looked at each other like, oh, my goodness. What did we. What is this, man?

And it was, like, too real.

And he slowly finishes his drive home now.

Doesn’t say a word, Gets in the house, parks the car.

Charlie’s body’s in the back seat because he’s fully traumatized, right? And he goes to bed. And you can hear whispering of mom telling dad, okay, good, they’re home. Which makes this even more brutal, right? Like I said, it’s like a very real family, right?

Makes it even more brutal for what happens the next morning. And the movie is just like Downhill of. Of feeling icky from here.

It’s the morning time. Peter’s in bed, eyes wide open. Pride didn’t sleep all night.

Here’s mom getting her stuff to leave the house.

She grabs her keys, she heads to her car.

And then we hear a scream. One of the most horrific screams ever, right? Cuz she sees Charlie’s body.

I mean, I just hate this movie. It’s like it’s too much. It’s too much. So then the camera, as if we needed this, zooms in on Charlie’s head still out by the telephone pole, being eaten by ants. Completely unnecessary.

So mom is wailing in her bedroom about how she wants to die.

I mean, this is the queasiest, most dreadful horror movie of all time. Like it’s not even. Like it’s not a fun watch.

That’s why it’s like, I don’t know if you should watch this one.

Back to the cemetery.

And you know, now they’re burying Charlie, so Annie’s lost everyone in her family. It’s crazy, right? And the camera does an interesting trick by showing the coffin get lowered and the camera keeps going sort of below the the dirt.

Then afterwards they’re at the house, they’re having their little funeral party or whatever.

Bad timing. But notice the picture in the living room, Like a pitcher of water, right? Not, not a picture, but a picture. And it’s got the black and white diagonal Black Lodge floor from Twin Peaks. Huh?

Twin Peaks. Everybody implying that there’s actually dark spirits here, right? This is the Black Lodge entities.

And Ari Aster, in fact, did a short interview about David lynch and talked about how great his movies are. And the surrealism of Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive are his favorite.

And he says, and he comments about Twin Peaks the Return. He says it’s wrong in the right way. All right, so he’s a Twin Peaks fan.

100. That is a nod to the Black Lodge and the dark entities that live in the realms.

So notice in the wallpaper of mom and dad’s room there’s another name inscribed. And the camera zooms in on these, right? So you can’t miss it. Zazas Smoking on a zazas. Z A Z A S.

So if we go to Kenneth Grant’s magical revival in chapter six, the chapter of Barbarous Names of Evocation, he’s talking about how communicating with otherworldly entities requires a system of communication or correspondences, right? Like Kabbalah.

And ironically in this chapter, he talks about Crowley using these systems for various rituals. Like the preliminary invocation of the Goetia. The Goetia being the demons, right? Demon spirits.

Which is translated from what he calls the Headless One. Huh. Which he describes as a decapitated figure symbolizing the subconscious. Now, in the conclusion, we’re going to talk about the. The subconscious. It’s part of this whole idea of this film.

And right here, Kenneth Grant Crowley are talking about the decapitated figure, that the headless one being part of this. So Crowley was contacting all these entities to eventually contact his own holy Guardian angel. From here, he starts the process of contacting various entities, angels and the athers of the vision and the voice which was called the.

The Libra 418 working. I know we’re getting deep in the occult weeds here, but he was using this Enochian language to talk to entities. Basically, Crowley says that the Enochian language works for beginners even. And from all of this contact, Crowley synthesizes various magical traditions, from Ancient Egyptian to the Gnostics to Greek Kabbalists and so on. And he puts all of these in Libra 777, which is the table of correspondences. That’s what the whole book is, right? It’s just a bunch of correspondences, meaning that if. And I don’t have it in front of me here, but if you wanted to do a ritual to Saturn, it shows you, like, on this chart where Saturn is and like, what month is the best, what phase of the moon, what colors evoke Saturn, that kind of stuff.

Now, Crowley mentioned the Enochian language, which we know came from John D. And Edward Kelly. Well, Crowley claimed to be a reincarnation of Edward Kelly, and he claimed that he was here to correct what the Book of Enoch was all about. It was about pronouncing the new Age, the Aeon of Horus, which. Which to the astute listener, if you’ve seen the movie, when we get to the end of the movie, you’re gonna say, I get it. It’s a. It’s a message about Aleister Crowley’s New Age, the Aeon of Horus, which we’re going to get there and you’re going to say, oh, I get it.

And the new age of Aon of Horus is that this idea of getting rid of the Christian church and Christianity to proclaim that, look, nothing’s really a sin, all right, do what thou wilt. Right? Kind of. And from here, which do what thou will isn’t actually saying, hey, in a Sabatine, frankist, antinomian way. It’s not saying, hey, just do whatever you want. It’s about doing whatever you want in order to make contact with your holy Guardian angel to complete your great work.

So Kind of is.

Sort of.

Anyway, from here, Kenneth Grant talks about kabbalistic numerology and how Aleister Crowley and Dion Fortune, she’s just another occultist. She wrote the.

What is it? The mystical Kabbalah.

They said that all this stuff is kind of subjective because, again, some of the stuff like this is just imagination at work here.

They say that in. That if you’re. If your parents give you a name, then the kabbalistic numerology breakdown of the name isn’t. Doesn’t really count.

But names for established things like the sun, which is also called, so wrath, equals 666. And that is true. All right, so when they would use numerology, they would make contact with demons. The demons would pronounce their names and spellings. And if it checked out numerologically, then Crowley was like, okay, bet I’m talking to a real demon. Okay. They give an example. They say if a demon is like, hey, my number is 761, Crowley would add 7 plus 6 plus 1, which equals 14, which in Roman numerals is XIV, which is the Tarot card of art.

And the Tarot card of art has symbols of keys on it. So if. So, if the spirit was giving key energy, somehow it validates it. Okay, again, this is all about correspondences and things.

So words, names, they can hold values in magic. And this is where he talks about the traditional formula for opening infernal regions, which starts with the name Zazas. All right, and then some other names which I’m not going to repeat because.

Because supposedly this is all a spell that Adam used to open the gates of Hell, which is Pandemonium is the gates of Hell. And we’re going to talk about that here in a second.

Also, ironically, that’s the fit for today. The Gates of Hell, the movie. I got the shirt on now. I know. Deep cut.

Deep, deep cut to reference the gates of hell from the 70s.

So Peter, he’s in bed, looking out the window. He looks at that tree house. A red light kicks on.

It’s a space heater because Mom’s now sleeping out there, right? This family was a hot mess before. Now it’s off the charts.

Also, you’re going to notice the tree house has a giant death rune on it, right? AKA the peace sign. Like an upside down fork.

So Dad’s looking through Charlie’s sketchbook, and the last drawing that she did was of that pigeon head with a crown on it. Isn’t that something?

So Peter’s back at school the next day.

Clearly He’s a mess. He’s under the bleachers with the fellas smoking up. And his throat starts closing up like he’s having a reaction. Just like Charlie.

Just like Charlie.

So mom goes to a meeting and Joan, this woman, flags her down in the parking lot. She’s very concerned, overly concerned about Annie, a stranger supposedly. And I can’t, I can’t tell, but Joan’s ring looks kind of beefy and I thought, is that a sigil? I couldn’t really tell, though I can’t confirm that.

So Mom’s back home and she’s working on the diorama and she’s drawing these ritualistic terms into the wall, right? That’s satoni S A T O N Y.

So she knows these are on the wall.

So she’s drawing it into the diorama, which I found very curious.

She calls Joan and agrees to meet at Joan’s place. She goes to Joan’s apartment and on her front by her door there, there’s this welcome mat and you see all these sort of sigil looking things.

Mom even comments on how Grandma used to embroider mats just like this. And if you look at.

Looks like the runes of Odol, right? Oftentimes compared to the Black Lodge symbol of Twin Peaks. There it is again. Odal. The odal rune back in like Viking times means lineage, inheritance and possession, which seems apropos for what’s going on in this film.

So she’s talking to Joan about how she used to sleepwalk. And we just finished a film analysis about Poltergeist. And you remember mom was in bed reading Carl Young man and his symbols, talking about sleepwalking.

Right.

That just made me think of it as all.

And I guess she had slept. Walk, slept, walked, sleepwalked. And she covered Peter, her own son, with paint thinner and was striking a match. She was going to light him on fire. But she woke up and was terrified that she almost burned up her kid. Right.

And how, you know, their relationship struggled ever since.

And mom is now. And you know what’s weird is I growing up, I’m not going to say who I. I know somebody who, from what I understand, I’m going to say allegedly he, I guess he owed a drug dealer some money and he woke up and the drug dealer was covering him in gasoline, getting ready to light him on fire. But he woke up and like chased him out of there before, you know, it happened. Kind of weird. I was like, that’s weird that that’s in this movie.

Like something so Strange. Anyway, so mom is now working on the diorama of the car and the pole and even painting Charlie’s head on the ground.

Like, very disturbing, right?

And then it’s awkward family dinner time. Dad made dinner. That’s holding this whole family down, by the way, which is kind of refreshing to see that he’s not just a total dunce like most guys are in these movies.

He’s holding the whole dinner. He’s holding the whole family down with dinner and taking care of this, that, and the other. Now, I don’t like that he lied and didn’t tell mom about the desecrating of the co. Of the.

The grave site. But maybe he’s like, bro, like, she is on the edge. I don’t know that she could handle that, which I don’t know if I would make that move. I would still honesty over everything.

Maybe. I don’t know. I’m not in this position. I mean, this family’s going through some stuff. So Peter and Mom, they break out into a fight over her not forgiving Peter for killing Charlie. And again, this is like the. The Hercules.

Hercules parable, right? His. His fatal flaw was trying to get laid. He left Charlie to eat the nuts, and everything fell apart after that. Then he turns it around on mom. He’s like, why’d you make me take her? And then mom storms off.

Next day, Mom’s at the craft store. She sees Joan, and she’s. Joan’s all gushing about how all my whole life changed because I went to this medium to ask about my dead son and grandson.

And the medium conjure my grandson. It was so amazing to talk to him.

Now, if you caught it a few scenes ago, there was a flyer for that, I guess the same medium, it was going through the family’s mail hole in the door, right? If I guarantee that was Joan trying to plant this seed.

So mom goes over to Joan’s place again, and Joan’s like, look, I’m gonna replicate what the medium did. I got instructions, and we’re gonna channel my dead grandson.

And sure enough, weird stuff happens. There’s a glass moving, and mom’s bugging out.

And she’s like, I. I don’t know what the hell’s going on here. And Joan’s like, okay, here’s some instructions for you to do this at home. You can talk to Charlie. Isn’t that fun?

So everyone’s sleeping. Mom wakes up because she gets this vision of these ants leading down the hallway to Peter’s room.

And then she visualizes Them all over Peter’s face, kind of like Charlie’s head.

And he wakes up and they of course realize she’s been sleepwalking again. But listen to what they discuss. It’s quite interesting.

[00:45:28] Speaker E: Mom, what are you doing?

[00:45:36] Speaker B: What’s going on?

[00:45:39] Speaker E: You were sleepwalking.

[00:45:47] Speaker B: I’m sorry.

Is Charlie here?

[00:45:54] Speaker E: Why are you scared of me?

[00:46:00] Speaker B: What?

I never wanted to be your mother.

[00:46:12] Speaker E: Why?

[00:46:13] Speaker B: I

[00:46:14] Speaker C: was scared.

I didn’t feel like a mother, but she pressured me.

[00:46:24] Speaker E: Then why did you have me?

[00:46:25] Speaker C: It wasn’t my fault. I tried to stop it.

[00:46:30] Speaker E: How?

[00:46:34] Speaker C: I tried to have a miscarriage.

[00:46:39] Speaker E: How?

[00:46:41] Speaker C: However I could. I did everything they told me not to do. But it didn’t work.

I’m happy it didn’t work.

[00:46:48] Speaker E: You tried to kill me.

[00:46:51] Speaker C: I love you.

Why did you try

[00:46:54] Speaker E: to kill

[00:46:55] Speaker C: me? I did. I was trying to. Why didn’t

[00:46:57] Speaker E: you try to kill me?

[00:47:09] Speaker A: So we find out mom never wanted Peter. Grandma pressured her to get pregnant, and she even tried to miscarry him and Peter, you know, being so dramatic. Oh, you tried to kill me.

And then they replay the whole paint thinner scene and mom wakes up and all that was a dream, right? It’s like inception. Dreams within dreams within dreams.

Mom then decides it’s a great time to try and summon Charlie’s spirit. So she wakes everyone up to come downstairs to participate.

She recites the words and Stephen’s like, what language is that? Well, I think it’s Anokian.

I have nothing to prove that they get Charlie to. Or Charlie’s spirit, I should say, to move a glass.

Peter’s like, I can feel the air flexing. And then the candle lights go and mom seems possessed now. And we see more names on the wall.

I don’t know how to pronounce it. Liftoke, L, I, F, T, O, A, C, H and Pandemonium. Now, lift oak is a Hebrew term that means open up.

Pandemonium is a word used in Paradise Lost for Hell. So open up hell, right? Like Zach Baggins always says at the beginning of Ghost Adventures, you reach your final destination. Hell.

Now, the Illuminates love.

They love Paradise Lost.

I I On my list of things to do is I really want to listen to Professor Zhang’s.

He’s got a whole video about Paradise Lost. Because I don’t know much about it, right? I know we covered it a little bit on the House that Jack built, but from what I understand, it’s what they like is this attitude of Satan, right? There’s a phrase that comes from the story. Better to Reign in hell than serve in heaven.

So the point is on the wall is open up the gates of hell. These are not good guys, right? They’re opening up the gates of hell again. The theme for today’s fit, I. I wore this shirt on purpose for that.

So Pan breaking down Pandemonium. Pan means all. Demonium means demon. So it’s the place of all demons.

Because Pandemonium is actually the capital of hell and it’s referring to the chaos of releasing demons. And we talked about this a little bit in the house that Jack built.

If you want more, which I do too. Professor Zhang did a whole video on Paradise Lost.

It’s one of my must do things. I gotta research.

So Peter’s at school and he sees that same weird light spirit thing, the one that got entice Charlie to go outside, right?

He sees him moving around the classroom. And he looks over in the. In the. The cab cabinet and in the glass, he sees a reflection of himself grinning at himself, all creepy.

Meaning he’s about. He’s possessed, basically.

So Stephen, he comes home and mom’s in her art room. She destroyed all of her dioramas. And he’s had enough, right? He’s like, okay, because she was on a deadline anyway, she was gonna miss.

He starts popping pills and sleeping on the couch. And I don’t blame him, you know, I don’t blame dad at this point.

Look, is it the chicken way out? Yeah. You need to stand up strong for your family. But I don’t blame him. I understand.

He’s like, I can’t deal with this anymore.

It’s almost. It’s almost comical.

But don’t do that. Men. Men. You. Your job.

Your job is to suffer for your family.

You don’t get to pop pills and sleep on the couch.

You help pick up the diorama and you get mom back on her feet, damn it.

But I do understand. So it’s late at night, a terrible time to be in this house.

Mom goes to Charlie’s room and a spirit is drawing in Charlie’s little sketchbook.

Peter’s having dreams about Charlie and thinks mom is choking them. I mean, it’s a mess, right?

So mom, she takes that sketchbook and I guess she’s had enough too. She tosses it into the fireplace. Bad, bad idea though, because guess what happens? Her arm catches on fire. And she sort of. Again, law of correspondence is here, right? As above, so below.

She pulls the book out of the fire. And when she does that, then her arm is no longer on fire.

So Mom’s tripping. She heads back to Joan’s house. You see, like, an inverted shot of her storming down the hallway. And from inside Joan’s place, it’s clear that she’s doing a ritual. You see Peter’s photo in a triangle. You see some candles, a sigil of Paymon on an altar, and various personal effects from Annie’s family. Charlie’s pigeonhead project with the crown. How did she get all this? Okay, so Peter’s having lunch at school. He’s outside. There’s old creepy Joan across the street yelling at him now.

So mom goes home, and she goes into Grandma’s little box of goodies, and she pulls out the placemats, like Joan has, right? And there’s a place bat for Annie, and there was a placemat for Charlie, again with all these weird symbols on it. She then opens up a book that has that symbol of Paymon on the front.

And inside is a whole bunch of magical spellery.

Then there’s another book called Invocations that talks about summoning Paymon and how he wants certain offerings. Well, we’re gonna break down Paymon real soon in the exciting conclusion.

Then there’s a photo book, and you see a photo Grandma with Joan. Oh, man. Joan knew about this the whole time. Shady business.

Then Grandma, she’s getting covered in gold coins with this group of old weirdos, right? They’re making it rain on her with gold coins.

Then there’s a photo of Annie and her family that this old group of.

I mean, Floridian swingers, I guess, are putting on an altar.

So now she’s like, wait a minute. Are they messing with my family? Or whatever she’s thinking now. She’s like, okay, something’s up.

Peter, meanwhile, he’s at school tripping. He gets possessed. His arm gets all, like, contorted, freaking out, and.

And he starts bashing his own face on the desk.

And Stephen, he gets an email from the cemetery of the photos of someone digging up Grandma’s casket.

Meanwhile, Mom’s at home, left her own devices. She decides to open the attic. And she opens the attic, and a gang of flies start pouring out. And she gets up in there.

What’s in the dark corners of the attic? It’s murder.

But wait, it’s not. It’s Grandma. And she’s got a white gown with Paymon symbols on it. And there’s a Paymon symbol on the ceiling.

You know, the really horrific moment in the movie.

Meanwhile, dad gets a call from the school because Beater’s bashing his own face on the desk. And he has to leave work, go pick up Peter from school. Gets home. I mean, Peter’s like, bro, I’ve, like, had it with this family. Gets home, Mom’s running down the driveway, frantic. And he’s like, just whatever. At this point. He’s. He’s the. The Ben Affleck smoking meme, right? He’s just like, I don’t even care what you’re about to tell me.

And she’s like, no, listen, for real, I’m gonna. She. She’s like, you got to check out the attic.

Meaning, like, there’s a dead body up in the attic. And he’s like, you’re tripping.

So he goes up there. Sure enough, there he sees it. And she tries to explain that Joan has been duping her and doing this religious weirdo packed. Stephen doesn’t believe any of this. He thinks that Annie dug Grandma up.

Mom’s like, look, we got to burn this sketchbook.

And every time I try to, it lights me on fire. So I need you to help me. I need you to throw it in the fire.

And again, he doesn’t believe her. He’s had enough of her bs. He’s like, I’m done with you, and I’m done with this family.

And she thinks that she can have him throw the book in the fire and she’ll burn up.

That’s what she’s asking. She’s like, I need. She’s like, I can’t take it anymore either. I want you to throw this book in the fire. I’m not strong enough to do it. I need you to do it. And I love you so much. Gives him a final kiss. He’s like, throw it in the fire. And I’m gonna. I’m gonna sacrifice myself to save the family, because Joan’s been messing around, cursing my family, and I’ve got to end the curse with myself, but you got to help me.

And dad doesn’t believe any of this nonsense, so he throws it in. And you know what’s up? It’s murder. It’s. It’s immolation.

So Stephen lights on fire. Mom doesn’t.

Oh, no. So now Dad’s dead. Poor dad.

He did his best. And at the same time, again, this is a blood sacrifice. At the same time, mom gets possessed. That light, that spirit. Boom. Goes into Mom.

So blood sacrifices make the spirit move. All right, so Peter wakes up, and. And this is, like, you know, from here on out, like, it’s absolute chaos. And the movie is, like, nightmare Fuel. He wakes up, he’s in bed, it’s dark. And if you look closely in the dark, in the background, Mom’s on the ceiling like Spider Man. And he doesn’t see her.

And he’s walking around the house. He finds his dad’s burnt corpse.

And there’s Mommy up in the corner watching him.

And if you look in the, in the closet, there’s like the creepy smiling dude at the funeral fully naked in the closet.

Peter sees all this and he bolts to, runs upstairs in the attic. Bad move.

Mom follows. He closes the door behind him in the attic. And she levitates, inverts, and is on the ceiling bashing her head against the like mega fast on the attic door. If you’ve seen the scene, you know what I’m talking about. It’s like.

It’s like crazy inside. He now Peter’s like, oh, here we go. There’s a ritual setup. And this time Grandma’s body’s gone. And inside of it is a photo of Peter.

And also mom got into the attic, by the way. And so now he turns around. Mom’s levitating, slicing her own throat and head off with some kind of like, piano wire because the spirit possesses her so she’s not stopping it. So she cuts her own head off with this piano wire.

And we see the whole crew of Florida swinger, retired boomer swingers watching.

Peter’s broke at this point. He’s like, okay, I’m out. He jumps out the window and he lies there and the spirit enters him. It leaves the headless Annie goes into Peter, wakes him up.

He. It guides him to the tree house where he, we all witness his mother’s headless body just float and levitate up into this tree house.

Peter gets up, he starts clicking like Charlie, because again, the click is a representation of possession.

It possessed Charlie, then Annie, and now Peter, apparently.

So he goes up into the treehouse, stone cold silent. There’s all the. The swingers, nude, bowing down to the front of the room, including his headless grandmother and his headless mother.

And up front is a statue of Paymon with a crown on. And there’s a bird cage, bird flapping around all crazy.

Joan is in there.

She puts the crown on. Peter calls him Charlie and says he’s the. He is now Paymon, one of the eight kings of hell. Take a listen to this nightmare.

[00:59:23] Speaker F: Hey. Hey.

It’s all right, Charlie.

You’re all right now.

You are Paimon, one of the eight kings of hell.

We have looked to the northwest and called you in.

We’ve corrected your first female body and give you now this healthy male host.

We reject the Trinity and pray devoutly to you, great Paimon.

Give us your knowledge of all secret things.

Bring us honor, wealth and good familiars.

Bind all men to our will as we have bound ourselves for now and ever to yours.

Hail payment.

[01:00:48] Speaker A: We hear they called him in from the northwest and to correct the first female body and give him a healthy male host, right, that’s rejecting Charlie’s body to give him the body of Peter.

They say they reject the Trinity and they pray to paymon for knowledge of all the secret things and honor and wealth and good familiars.

And they bind all men as they. As they bind to him.

And this is where I. I say they put a crown on Peter. This is Aleister Crowley. The Aeon of Horus. The Crown and Conquering Child.

That’s how the movie ends, is with the crown on Peter.

So in the exciting conclusion, first off, is this technically the goat of all horror films? I mean, I think it is. It’s. To me, it’s just too much. It’s too real, it’s too dark to be fun.

I. I do think it takes the crown, though, you know, pun intended. I do think it takes the crown of greatest horror movie of all time. If you’re looking to feel weird now, recall where we started with this movie. The diorama, the zoom in. Like, just like heretic, right? As above, so below, as within. So without.

So what we’re looking at is we’re living in this interconstructed world of Annie the entire time, possibly, right. And when you see this in so many films, right, this is a device they use in, like, I think Kubrick was the first to use it in the Shining. The labyrinth.

The labyrinth, of course, a symbol of the subconscious. We talked about that in my three, four hour analysis on the YouTube there.

The LEGO Movie did it.

Beetlejuice, a bunch of them did this stuff. And that’s kind of how magic in the occult works. It’s always, you know, nothing overtly obvious. It’s always some kind of synchronicity that opens up, which, again, makes it very subjective. Just like Crowley and Grant were talking about.

So we’re obviously messing around with Annie’s subconscious. And let’s think about this, right? She.

We first we hear she sleepwalks. She was gonna kill her kids.

She’s doing dioramas with the death of her kids. But the movie started out zooming in on this diorama. This could be all in her head.

And it also. The film uses a lot of feminine forces throughout it, right? Which symbolize the, you know, water or the subconscious realm, the intuition, you know, Grandma Annie, Charlie, they all prep the way for paymon.

Because, you know, again, females symbolize intuition or subconscious.

Now you got the. What about the swinging satanic secret society? Well, these old swingers, they reminds me of the movie Rosemary’s Baby or the old in where they’re grooming this family, this satanic ritual abuse.

They’re watching the entire time.

And the question I have is if was Annie part of this?

Right?

She was literally drawing that. That the demonic command of S A T O N Y on the diorama. So she knew that was there.

Also, she was wearing the necklace at the funeral. Grandma of the sigil of Paveon.

Also, there’s a scene where Peter is smoking in his bedroom, right?

And before the light pole situation. And if you watch that, you can see that someone is watching him from the tree house because there’s a different exhale of breath. It’s kind of hard to explain. You’d have to see it. I’ll put the image on the video.

But Charlie’s room had lots of manufactured little action figures and artworks, just like the final paymon figure at the end. So it’s almost like the whole family was possessed with this on some level.

And when Joan runs up to Annie in the parking lot.

Right. The first time, you’ll also notice that the passenger seat of Annie’s car is missing the headrest. Right. The headless one. It’s missing the headrest. But then later, after the seance at Jones, Annie, she hears that clicking sound in the back seat, and she gets spooked and looks back. Well, there’s the headrest again.

I think the headrest is a metaphor for Charlie’s actual head, meaning her spirit comes back through these seances.

But then we got Paimon. That’s what we keep teasing the whole time. Because you see all these symbols throughout the film so many times. At Grandma’s funeral, you know, why is Annie wearing this, too?

The light pole that took Charlie’s head, possibly on Jones tablecloth at the. At her apartment.

Now, is this symbol accurate? All right. Is it accurate? Well, this is what’s interesting, because if you look at the.

In hereditary, the symbol of Paimon, it’s got three loops, basically. It’s hard to explain without looking at it, right? It’s got like three loops, basically. But the actual Lesser Key of Solomon shows you it has Four loops. It’s not the same thing.

And this movie was so accurate down to the details. It was like, why would they do that? I think it’s because Ari Aster believes in this stuff and didn’t want to perpetuate and charge up the actual symbol by making everybody view this and charging it up through a massive audience. Right.

That’s why he changed the symbol a little bit.

Now actual texts talk about Paimon, the Lesser Keys of Solomon, translated by McGregor Mathers talks about the 70, 72 demons of the Goetia. The Shem Ham Farash.

Now, these are the demons that King Solomon allegedly controlled to build the Temple of Solomon.

But in there it. And it talks about all the different Pokemon demons here. And you can read about Paymon. And it says, the ninth spirit in this order is Paymon. A great king and very obedient unto Lucifer. He appeareth in the form of a man sitting upon a droma with a crown most glorious upon his head a dromedary is a camel. All right. It’s a camel with one hump. That’s what they call an Arabian camel. And we’re going to talk about that.

It says, there goeth before him also a host of spirits like men and trumpets and well sounding symbols and other sorts of musical instruments. Now notice Peter, if you look in his bedroom, he plays the guitar. He plays the piano.

Arguably, mom took a guitar string or piano string to cut her own head off.

Says that he hath a great voice and roareth at his first coming. And his speech is such that the magician cannot well understand unless he can compel him. This spirit can teach all arts and sciences and other secret things.

He can discover unto thee what the earth is and what holdeth it up in the waters, and what mind is and where it is, or any other thing thou mayest desire to know.

So basically they want to channel Paymon for knowledge, right? It’s always the Gnosis.

He giveth dignity and confirm it the same. He bindeth or maketh any man subject unto the magician if he so desire. It giveth good familiars and such as can teach all arts. He is to be observed towards the west. He is of the order of dominations. He hath under him 200 legions of spirits and are part of them. The order of Angles angels. Excuse me, Almost said. An order of nine Angles and part of potentiots. Now, if thou call us the spirit Paymon, thou must make him an offering. And there will be a. There will attend him two kings, Labal and Abali. And all other spirits who be of the order of this host and 25 legions, yada, yada, yada. These spirits which be subject unto him are not always with them unless the magician compels them, so on and so forth.

So the camel that Paymon rides on opens up the door to a lot of Crowley stuff, because that’s what a lot of this movie, I think, is, is like Crowley symbolism.

Because when Crowley did a ritual called the amalantra working in 1918, he did it with a scarlet woman named Roddy Minor, who had the nickname the Camel, right? She was a scarlet woman and she had the vision of the egg under the palm tree. She channeled a wizard, Amalantra, to speak with Crowley.

And if you read his diary, it shows that the first visions of the ritual were the egg, the wizard and a king, right?

Like King Paimon and Amelantra would take on the appearance of a sphinx.

We talked about this before somewhere, because Amalantra means dead sphinx. But he leaves the egg for Crowley as the symbol of the new knowledge, right? This is the great work for Crowley to reveal the new age. The Aeon of Horus.

And after this ritual is when he draw. He drew lamb, by the way.

Now, something curious.

Crowley previously did a ritual called the Abra Melon working at the Bolstein house in Loch Ness.

And this ritual is one in which he summoned multiple demons from the Goetia, including Paymon. Specifically, Crowley already channeled Paymon.

Then there was another ritual Crowley did in 1909 with Victor Newberg to evoke Coronzone, some other demon which he Describes in Libra 4:18 Vision in the voice, right? The same book we discussed when we talked about smoking on that zazas, the other demon named Z A Z A S.

And in Libra 418, Crowley describes the ritual of evoking coronzone by sacrificing pigeons, which you saw the.

The pigeon being part of the ritual to summon Paimon and Charlie, cutting off the head and put a crown on him and all that.

And he taught Crowley about the secrets of the Goat with Bobs, right? He said Goat with Bob is his father, Ms.

Mithras, right, from Mithraism, you know. So anyway, go with Bob’s. We already know what that means. That means because you’ve been listening to me for a long time. Go with Bob’s. Or the Baphomet symbolizes the alchemical marriage of opposing forces of male and female, because they believe through these opposing pairs and polarities you can, you know, I don’t know, do magic and do all this stuff. And I believe this is what we see in the film because it doesn’t really make sense. Paimon wants the body of a man.

And I get it. The family had Charlie there, but Peter was born first, so Charlie’s younger. Why is Charlie in the story at all? Right. All Charlie is there is to facilitate, I guess, the transfer into Peter.

Like, I never understood that. Well, I think it’s because Paymon needed the opposing polarities to come together.

Right, Because Peter and Charlie come together as one entity, sort of for Paymon.

And it also explains the X and the O in Charlie’s room. It’s that X and O symbol is also the opposing forces of male and female.

Now this would be a great place to end the analysis.

But wait, there’s more.

In the Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelon the mage, translated by McGregor Mathers from Abraham the Jew Paymon, it says this. Paymon is also frequently written Paymon P A Y M O N and sometimes pomonia.

Probably from.

Sorry, I’m trying to read. Probably from Hebrew P O M N a tinkling sound or small bell.

This is again derived from the Hebrew root pom, P O m to agitate, impel or strike forward.

The word pomn is employed in Exodus 28, 34, 2833, 39, 25.

Paymon is also called by the Rabbin Rabbins by the title of Ozazel, Azazel, which is a name used in Leviticus with reference to the scapegoat.

It’s there. And if you’re paying attention, Azazel is. Has been referenced on the show many times. I believe it was in doctor Sleep, the name of the cat, if I’m not mistaken.

There’s a couple other times, including wizard of Oz, which we’re going to talk about. It’s in one second. Its derivation is from Oz, Oz, which is a goat, and Azl, which means to go away. So it’s a goat who goes away is Azazel.

It has frequently been warmly discussed whether the word in question means simply the scapegoat, or whether it signifies a demon to whom that animal was dedicated.

But in rabbinic demonology it is always used to mean one of the chief demons.

And like I said, Azazel comes up all the time. And it came up in our wizard of Oz 4 part analysis we did. Right.

Wizard as in the Amelantra Wizard, Oz as in Crowley’s Libra Oz, or directly from this book, the. The Book of Sacred Magic of Abramelon.

But Azazel also shows up in the Book of Enoch as the fallen angel.

And what’s the purpose for Azazel, the fallen angel? To bestow knowledge. Just like the Florida swinger secret satanic secret society is trying to do with Paymon. All right? Azazel shows up in biblical history because it was part of the scapegoat ritual, because they connect it, right? We talked about Azazel. It means the goat of going away.

So in the Bible, Azazel is the scapegoat ritual because Azazel was like, that’s what they called the place where they would take the scapegoat. Because they would. They would say before Christ, the. The Jewish people would have committed sins. And they’re like, okay, put all your sins into this goat, and then we’ll go sacrifice it so we can be cleansed of our sins.

And then Christ came. He’s like, what are you doing?

Stop. No more bloodshed. We’re not doing that anymore.

And so Azazel is the scapegoat. Sacrifice for the sins of the Jewish people. Which connects into the whole idea of blood sacrifice. Like the. Some people believe this stuff.

And here’s where it gets crazy. For the grand finale, guess what? The name of Ari Aster’s next film is going to be currently in production as we speak.

It’s scapegoat.

So that’s where I want to end this analysis with a mega exciting conclusion. All right.

It’s so crazy. There’s so much Crowley on here and occult stuff. It’s the most occult movie of all time. It’s the scariest movie of all time. And that’s why I don’t ever want to watch it again. It’s too much.

So thanks for listening.

If you made it this far, I thank you for listening. I hope you were entertained. If you’re entertained, please consider supporting the show. It’s so many ways.

I mean, the. Probably the best way is you could share it with a friend.

Share with a friend or family member.

You could share with them, then discuss it on Thanksgiving. I don’t know. Whatever you want to do. Let them know, you know, you’re gonna give it to them. They’re gonna say, man, you’re a deep thinker. You’re thinking about all this stuff. You’re examining pop culture, culture through such a critical lens.

And then maybe they’ll start wondering what’s going on. Then maybe they’ll say, hey, how many people are believing this stuff? Right?

And then it starts opening up and all these streams of consciousness will come through. And then they’ll start thinking about their own lives and their own mortality and their own religious beliefs. And they’ll say, you know what? I think I’ve been, I think I’ve been conditioned by forces to not think about the real things that, that matter in this life.

It’s going to start a whole domino effect. So, yeah, share it with a friend. That’s what I ask you to do. And if you don’t, if you don’t have friends, and I don’t blame you, then five star reviews on Apple podcasts or Spotify help or the ultimate way to help is the show supporters like@patreon.com Illuminati Watcher or any of the supporter feeds that you like, Apple Premium or VIP section.
