On today’s episode of the Occult Symbolism and Pop Culture with Isaac Weishaupt podcast we are joined in the Grey Lodge with special guest Mary Reber aka “Alice Tremond!” Josie and I headed up to Everett, WA to interview Mary IN THE LAURA PALMER home! Dreams were made complete that day as Mary shared with us her journey into the mysterious world of Twin Peaks! We’ll hear how she ended up buying the iconic Laura Palmer house where Twin Peaks was filmed, amazing synchronicities on the timing, her experience watching Twin Peaks and what it’s like hanging out with David Lynch and becoming a character in the world of Twin Peaks! We’ll hear Mary’s take on the Wisteria hysteria, interesting behind the scenes of Season 3 “The Return,” some idea supporting the theory of Laura Palmer as a goddess or The One, what it’s like opening up your home for Twin Peaks fans, the previous owner, iconic symbols from the show (e.g. The Fan, Laura’s bed and owl mirrors), the experience of attending the premier of Season 3 and starring in what could be the most important scene in all of Twin Peaks!
*Note that there WILL BE PLOT SPOILERS that start around the 43 minute mark– I’ll put a noise effect with audible warning if you haven’t seen S3, we will be discussing what happens in the final episode. Will it spoil the ending of Twin Peaks? I’m not sure- nobody knows what’s going on and it’s all theories so that choice is yours. You may also notice some audio that seems spliced- there were a couple of areas that I pushed to the back of the episode so there is no plot spoiling if you want to hear most of the interview- you’re welcome.
