[00:00:00] Speaker A: Today we’re doing the most comprehensive occult symbolism breakdown of Spielberg’s poltergeist film from 1982. I’m going to walk you through the film and break down the cast conspiracies like the death of Heather o’. Rourke. We’re going to talk about the symbolism of rainbows, Kabbalah, the number 12, Super Bowl 22, the day off, Vader, the Tree of Life, Freemasonry, the Diane Goddess, Stanley Kubrick, Twin Peaks, wizard of Oz, Eyes Wide shut, Crowley’s Babylon 77, sex, magic, and the disturbing real origins of Poltergeist. Join me on occult symbolism and pop culture.
[00:00:36] Speaker B: Now.
[00:00:36] Speaker A: What inspired me to watch Poltergeist again is I was actually watching a show called the. The Enfield Poltergeist on Apple tv. This was like the most documented real case of a poltergeist.
Shockingly, I found out it did not inspire Spielberg’s Poltergeist, but it did inspire Conjuring 2, which, you know, the con, the, the consultant for the conjuring films, Professor Dana Pasalka, who I interviewed for my third time last month. It was the Patreon bonus show, the secret interview I did with Professor Dana Basalka. So now during the Enfield show, it’s interesting and this will come up in here in a bit. During the Enfield Poltergeist show on Apple.
You could see in the room there was a magazine or record or something in the girls room because this is the 1970s, right?
And it says Diana prominently on the COVID which is interesting because Diana is the name of the mother in the film Poltergeist.
So anyway, also get comfortable. It’s going to be a long one real quick. The best way to consume this episode is of course ad free on the supporter feeds. I recommend tier 2 on Patreon or VIP section because you’ll get the video version of this episode with the movie clips intact.
All right? Now if you’re on that free feed status, right, what do I call you guys now? It’s not. It’s not the free feed, losers. It’s the free feed.
[00:02:07] Speaker B: I don’t know.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: It’ll come to me.
If you’re on that free feed status, like the YouTube, right? You’re not gonna be able to get the clips because YouTube hates you, all right?
[00:02:18] Speaker B: They hate.
[00:02:18] Speaker A: They hate me. So by extension they hate you. And they won’t let you see the clips because whatever I put on there is immediately a problem. So you’re not gonna get the clips on the YouTube that of course, I will be using to demonstrate These points that I’ll be making in fair use, but you will see the images on the YouTube. Okay, so if you want to watch the YouTube version, you’re going to see images and screenshots. I took hundreds of them, I think, from the movie to demonstrate my points in fair use. All right, so if you’re on the free feed, status, recommend YouTube. So you can see the images, but the audio only free feed. You should be able to hear the clips go through the audio only. Sometimes Spotify harasses me on that. Like, I. But I don’t find out till much later. Like, they took down my Demon Hunters. That Netflix show Demon Hunters. They took that down.
Anyway, lots of options for you. Okay. But the gold star is the Patreon tier 2. All right, so Poltergeist from 1982. Should you watch it? Yeah, you know, it’s a pretty good movie.
The first time I watched it, which was ironically, just a few years ago, I didn’t love it. I was like, it’s fine, you know, And I know that’s weird. Being a horror movie guy grew up in the 80s, you’d think I would have seen this by now.
For some reason, my dad hated Spielberg.
If he was alive, I’d love to ask him that. Because we never watched.
We never watched Indiana Jones in our house. Poltergeist, Jaws, Close Encounters, ET none of it ever got any play in my house, so I don’t know why. So I haven’t seen it until well into my 40s. So.
But on the second viewing that I did to prepare for this show, I appreciated it much more. I thought, that’s pretty good. I bet it was great in 82.
The movie’s a little long, kind of drags, to be honest. They should have ended it after the first ending. There’s like two endings, almost two hours. Cast and crew. Craig Nelson, AKA Coach. He plays the dad, Steve Jobeth Williams. She plays the mother, Diana.
Heather o’, Rourke, the child actor, plays the, you know, the main character, Carol Ann, the They’re Here girl. Right.
And her sister is Dominique Dunn, who plays Dana, and then her brother, Oliver Robbins, who plays Robbie. Now, Poltergeist is chock full of conspiracy crazy content.
It’s been covered many times. I’m not doing that. This is going to be some crazy stuff about Kabbalah that you’ve never heard before.
You can watch. I watched the. The Cursed Films episode on it that was on Shudder years ago. I don’t know where it’s at now. It’s pretty good. And I don’t want to get bogged down and all that because it’s been covered so much. Here’s a very short take on it. If you’re like, bro, I never heard any of this. What are you talking about?
So, like, the main one is the skeletons used in the pool scene.
They used real skeletons because it was cheaper than the artificial skeletons, which is insane considering the plot of this film. Literally warning about desecrating corpses, but hey.
Also, four major cast members died mysteriously. Dominique Dunn, who plays the older sister Dana, was murdered by her boyfriend right after the release of this first movie.
Pretty sad. She was an animal lover. She took in all kinds of strays. She was thinking of her mother, who had Ms.
She was an LGBTQ ally. You know, she helped her father, who was apparently struggling with issues of coming out of the closet and so on.
So Dominic dated this loser named John Thomas Sweeney, who physically abused her. He was tearing out chunks of her hair.
And during the filming of Hill Street Blues, which was by Mark Frost, another Twin Peaks tie in, there was some other altercation that this she had with this guy, and he killed her. So they arrest him.
He goes to trial.
He gets six years for killing this woman and gets out on parole after two and a half.
Can you believe that? That’s insane.
Then we get Julian beck from Poltergeist 2, which I have not seen yet.
I want to. I want to watch 2 and 3 next, I think. But Julian Beck, I don’t know who he is, but he. He was in Poltergeist 2. He dies of stomach cancer right before that film’s released.
Will Sampson from Poltergeist 2 dies in 87 from complications of heart and lung surgery. And then, of course, Poltergeist’s main character, Heather O’, Rourke, who plays Carol Ann and I think Poltergeist 1, 2 and 3.
She died in 88.
She was only 12 years old. She died of septic shock from an intestine condition.
Now there’s a documentary about her called she Was Here, which I saw on Tubi Shout out to be one of my favorite platforms.
They got tons of great stuff on there, man. Good stuff. They got Freddy’s Nightmares and GI Joe and all kinds of stuff.
Well, there’s a guy in there about the 11 minute mark. If you’re watching it, there’s a guy in there with this weird hat.
Chris Alexander from Fangoria magazine. He’s talking about how Toby Hooper, who’s the director. Sorry, let me preface this. Spielberg wasn’t the direct. I think he was the producer of this movie, Toby Hooper from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, was the director, supposedly.
And anyway, Chris is talking about how Toby was doing all this dark stuff with Texas Chainsaw Massacre and how it’s quite an odd pairing to have Spielberg and Hooper together.
And he compares ET To Poltergeist as two sides of the coin, with Poltergeist, of course, being the darker side.
Now, it’s interesting because I actually talked about that idea.
I think it was before I even seen Poltergeist. I talked about seeing the symbolism in comparing the two films. Or maybe I watched it for the book. Anyway, in 2021, when I wrote my second Alien book, Use your illusion two, I had a piece in there and I said. I talked about how I had released podcast episodes focusing on duality and the opposing polarities. Like Robert Eggers is the witch in the lighthouse because it displays feminine aspects with the witch, masculine with the lighthouse. All right. And I thought, you know, I think Eggers knew that. I think he put those back to back. And I think that that’s the same idea of Spielberg working on these two movies at the same time, E.T. and Poltergeist. All right, Spielberg had said that E.T. represented suburban dreams and Poltergeist represented suburban nightmares.
And the dream world plays into a lot of the stuff when we talk about Carl Young and so on.
But if you watch the doc, she was here. You’re also going to see some very creepy photos of Spielberg with Heather o’. Rourke.
And we hear the story about how he actually approached Heather at the movie studio because her sister Tammy was auditioning for a role or doing a film or something.
And Spielberg went up to her and her mom and was like, hey, I want to put her in this movie.
Kind of weird right hand chosen conspiracies. And tons of claims are that Spielberg was the real director of Poltergeist because he had a contractual clause that he couldn’t direct any other films while doing E. T.
And when you watch Poltergeist, to me, it is clearly a Spielberg film. I believe that one wholeheartedly.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: All right, at.
[00:09:33] Speaker A: Oh, and then at the.
Around the beginning, Craig Nelson, you know, Coach, who plays the dad in this movie, Poltergeist, says he, he said that Heather o’ Rourke was too innocent to be in the movies. He said, quote, I didn’t think she should be in the movie. She was way too innocent.
And he says it’s the kind of world a child shouldn’t be exposed to.
But then he talks about how this girl was nurtured on and taken care of on the set and so on.
And also around the 20 minute mark Chris from Fangoria talks about how everyone had read Hollywood Babylon by Kenneth Anger, a book we’ve talked about many times on this show.
And he talks about Drew Barrymore and child actors who are in this sort of machine because Drew and Heather had a lot of sort of, you know, connections.
Now, before we start the film breakdown, I’m going to give you one clue as to where my analysis goes. And it’s going to be about poltergeists originating from ungrounded sexual energy, because that is the secret message of this film through a kabbalistic lens. All right, so without further ado, plot spoilers coming. Let’s talk poltergeist.
It starts out Coach Dad. Sorry, I’m calling Dad. Dad falls asleep and we, we hear the sign off music and the TVs on still with the static family dogs snooping around for snacks.
And I have to explain this to the young folks, right? Back in the day, not everybody could afford cable, so we had broadcast telev that use this analog signal that at night they would stop programs.
Today it’s like 247 because it’s like you got to keep the capitalist machine going, right? But at night they would turn them off. So the TV would just play the national anthem and turn off the signal.
And the TV itself was left to try to locate a signal that wasn’t there. So what it would do is it would boost and amplify the electrostatic noise from within the TV because, you know, the signal wasn’t there.
Which I postulate influenced David lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks, right? We talk about electricity and I think that that twin prefect guy with the four hour thing, which sucks, by the way, I think he talks about that idea perhaps. I watched about half of it and I was like, this is stupid because we all know that my, my occult symbolism caught Symbolism analysis of Twin Peaks, which is now available in the book. She’s filled with secrets. I’m signing all the pre orders right now.
Well, half of them I should say.
I’ve got the full scope of what’s going on in Twin Peaks, but we’re gonna get more Twin Peaks in this show, don’t you worry.
Starting right now. Another fun fact. Lar Flynn Boya, who plays Boyle, who plays Donna in Twin Peaks, she’s in Poltergeist 3 from 1988, just before they started filming Twin Peaks.
Now the TV static is an interesting concept and it’s described in the Science fiction, cyberpunk text called Neuromancer. And it starts out, it says the sky above the port was the color of television to tuned to a dead channel.
Meaning it’s just static or black and white snow.
[00:13:06] Speaker B: All right,
[00:13:08] Speaker A: now they show us the different rooms in the house. And you’re going to notice that on mom’s nightstand you’re going to see looks like a coffee mug or something with a rainbow. And I believe it says somewhere over the rainbow. This is going to come up many times in this analysis, right?
So he wakes up Carol Ann, the dog. Sorry, is it the dog? Yeah, the dog wakes up Carol Ann, who’s Heather? Her name is Heather. In the movie, she walks downstairs and she sees her dad asleep with a chair. The TV static is playing.
She starts talking to the tv, asking what it looks like.
She says, I can’t hear the voice.
Now the whole family’s awake because they hear Heather talking to the tv and she’s having an entire conversation. And she puts her hands on it. Another iconic image from Poltergeist.
Next morning, suburban hellscape outside. All the kids are outside playing, riding the bikes. And this is one of the clues. It’s like, okay, this is a Spielberg movie. There’s many clues that this is a spill. This is it, right?
You see a grown ass man on a BMX bike with a full case of beers in hand. He’s headed over to the house, the main, you know, the Poltergeist house, because they’re watching football. And now this is interesting because notice the man is wearing a jersey with the number 12 on it.
And we also saw that when Carol looked at the TV just a second ago in the last scene, guess what channel it was on? It was on channel 12.
And in the next scene we’re gonna see Robbie the brother wearing the number 12, right? 12, very symbolic here. It’s you got the 12 disciples, you got the 12 signs of the zodiac or the 12 tribes of Israel. But I think Spielberg, being the Kabbalah magician himself, is referencing how. Because in the Sephir Yetzera, the text of the Kabbalah, it breaks down the Hebrew Alphabet into sections. It’s three mothers, seven double letters and 12 simple letters. And it’s also related to Saturn. If you go to the bdmuna.org it says that 12 is the number of maximal differentiation. It’s the number of lines that border a cube. And according to Chazal, all of reality, Hashem and his oneness is manifested via 12 channels. 12 channels to the world we live in. 12 is the level where the oneness is manifested in the world. And again, that’s another part of this. Right? The oneness manifesting into the world from the Ein Sof in Kabbalah is what’s going to happen later on. We’re going to hear it directly from the characters, so sit tight.
It is why we associate government with 12. There are 12 who govern the many. All of physical reality is constrained and restrained by the 12 lines that mark the edges of the physical world.
Now, the symbolism, I think, fits into this, you know, is the number 12. The number 12 on Kabbalah also referenced to the age of 12 for. For girls, where they have what’s equivalent to the Bud Mitzvah.
And they do this for the rebirth, right? It’s the arrival of the new level of the soul. For boys, they do it at 13. For girls, it’s 12.
And the teaching is that the child is primarily guided by physical needs and the material world.
And there’s your Saturn connection again. That’s how it’s described online.
And it marks the transition to adulthood.
And we know that all these weirdos, as per the Epstein files, are obsessed with hormones and the age of these kids and doing stuff that they shouldn’t do. Right.
And Carol Ann is the main character of this entire franchise. So I can’t help but think there’s something connecting here. Right. Spielberg personally approached her specifically for this role and something darker. She died at the age of 12 on February 1, 1988.
[00:17:17] Speaker C: Which.
[00:17:17] Speaker A: Which is going to take us to the next scene because mom is cleaning up the room with where Robbie and Carol are. That where they live, Right. In their bedroom. And on the. On the wall you see a poster. This thing has been debated many times on Reddit and such, and of course, I’m the only one that’s got the truth about it. Okay.
I don’t know.
I think so.
I’ll let you make the choice on this. There’s a poster on the wall that says Super Bowl.
I don’t have the image in front of me. It’s in Roman numerals, of course. Right.
But it’s the Super bowl for 1988.
[00:17:55] Speaker B: All right?
[00:17:56] Speaker A: And in fact, that’s what you see. Sorry, let me. Let me. I’m going off of memory here. So it says 1988 Super bowl, which is weird because the movie is released in 82. So everyone is always conspiracy theorizing, like, why would he put a poster up for something that hasn’t happened? Where did you even get a poster for that? You made that poster.
Strangely enough, Heather O’ Rourke dies on February 1, 1988, the day after that Super bowl of January 31, which was the Washington Redskins at the Denver Broncos.
Which is also curious, because this movie is based on a. A story that Spielberg read about a house being built on a cemetery in Denver.
But anyway, Heather Oort dies at the age of 12, right? It’s the Cabala girl B Mitzvah, right?
Well, Super Bowl 1988 is Super Bowl XXII, all right? That’s the Roman numerals, which is 22.
And you can guess how important 22 is in the world of Kabbalah, because 22 represents the paths on the Tree of Life.
Some people connected to the tarot deck, but that’s how many paths one can traverse on the Tree of Life. And I think that is why this poster is in the movie. I think it’s a Kabbalah reference. All right, because there’s so many Kabbalah references. Like in the boy’s room, you see, he’s got Star wars toys everywhere. I wrote an entire book called the Star Wars Conspiracy.
We don’t have time to delve into this, but I’m just going to say that Darth Vader, which is the poster by the closet in this room where the portal opens up, Darth Vader is the Deof portal. This is the Hidden Sephiroth, the hidden realm, which is what Carol ends up getting pulled into.
This is the mystical realm that Kenneth Grant talked about as the entryway into the dark side of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, where he says it’s the realm of the damaged gods, referred to as the Kleepoth.
This is the abyss. This is what I talk about in Twin Peaks as the red Room.
So the tv, they’re trying to watch the sports ball game, and the. The. They’re playing a battle with the neighbor because the remote controls are on the same frequency. And this is again, for. For people that aren’t young, aren’t, or aren’t for people that are too young.
This was a real thing, right? Remotes controls for TVs were a luxury item until the, like, mid to late 80s. Like, I remember we had a TV with knobs, and I had to change the knobs for, you know, I was the remote control, basically.
So this is a real thing.
[00:20:37] Speaker D: You’re.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: If you had, you know, this bougie stuff for 82. Like, those guys had money, so they were. They were hitting the remote and it was messing with the neighbors because it’s the same frequency that it was on.
Anyway, mom is. She’s checking on the kids pet bird and it’s dead.
So she is going to flush it down the toilet.
[00:20:58] Speaker B: I.
[00:20:58] Speaker A: And you know, the 80s were wild.
But Carol, of course sees this. So now mom feels obliged to do this whole funeral ordeal. And they make a specific reference here. They bury him in a King Edward cigar box.
Now you see this King Edward VII reference a few times, right?
Like later on in the bedroom, you see, they store their. There’s smoke in it.
But King Edward obviously ties into royal bloodlines, including Kaiser Wilhelm from Germany. But also the Rothchild family is apparently closely tied into King. This King Edward. Because I guess King Edward got a lot of flack for associating with the Rothchild bloodline.
Possibly opening the door, from what I read, possibly opening the door for the later Balor declaration that established a particular country, if you know what I’m saying. Why does any of this matter, right?
It doesn’t.
It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter at all. And capitalist magician Spielberg has nothing to do with any of this stuff, I’m sure, because Toby Hoover directed the movie, remember?
So King Edward, he was a freemason, and guess what? He was into sexy time. He was knocking down many mistresses. It’s what he’s kind of known for.
Because in this movie we’re going to find out it’s all about sex.
So Robbie, the brother, he’s out front climbing this big old nasty tree and he sees these crazy storm clouds coming in. And sure enough, now it’s nighttime.
Robbie’s in bed looking at the same tree through his window. It’s getting real ominous now.
[00:22:42] Speaker B: Okay,
[00:22:45] Speaker A: so the little foreshadowing. So Carol, she ends up replacing her bird Tweety with two goldfish. And she’s feeding them before she goes to bed. And Mom’s like, hey, if you feed them too much, they’re going to turn into sharks.
Again, a reference to Jaws. Again, this is a Spielberg movie, all right? It’s a reference to Jaws.
So now mom and dad are in bed and they’re getting ready to go to sleep. And Mom’s reading a book. And what’s this book? It’s Carl Jung’s book Man and His Symbols. And all we hear is that she’s reading about sleepwalking or nocturnal somna.
Somnambulism, I don’t know. She says it much smoother than I do in this. In the movie because she’s trying to understand what happened with Carol, why she got up and was Talking to the tv, right? And mom says that she’s like, look, I even did some sleepwalking when I was 10.
And I woke up in the back of a man’s car, and the man got arrested, and her dad had her inspected for bruises.
Now, to me, I think they’re clearly talking about abduction in SA of a child. I think that’s what they’re talking about.
Now, things get real interesting here because I have a copy of this book.
It’s. It’s not the same version, though.
The one used in 82 and Poltergeist, I believe, is the first or second edition.
I’ve got some. You know, I don’t know what edition is this, 2023? Because the book came out in 64. Yeah. So I got like, a very newer edition. And I searched through because I was like, okay, let’s read about the sleepwalking. And I couldn’t find it. I went online, got a PDF and did a control F search. Couldn’t find anything on sleepwalking, couldn’t find anything on nocturnal.
And there’s nothing. So Spielberg put this book in the movie with no reference whatsoever to what she’s talking about.
[00:24:48] Speaker B: Right.
[00:24:48] Speaker A: But it is an Easter egg for you to look into things and look into things I did.
So I searched for the term nocturnal because I’m like, okay, that’s a kind of a weird word. Let’s see if that shows up. And the reference, I found that in that somna lama ding dong word isn’t even in here. But on my version, in page about 354 to 358, there’s a story about the I Ching because Carl Jung’s talking about one of his patients named Henry. And he tells Henry to read the I Ching because they’re doing some dream analysis.
And Young talks about how the I Ching is important because it is the basis for Taoist, Taoism and Confucianism.
And this all comes from the I Ching. And the I Ching is all about oneness.
All right, Again, there’s that term. It’s that term that we’re all connected. And we’re going to hear that later in Poltergeist.
And the I Ching is basically saying, look, we’re all the same. We’re just opposing polarities of yin and yang.
So when you see the I ching, like on G.I. joe, Storm Shadow, which we’re going to do a show about GI Joe. So stay subscribed for that. You’re not going to want to miss that.
You see lines for male or female all right? And the I Ching would be used for divination and guidance and elsewhere. Young in this book talks about sex, right? Manifesting in dreams as keys going into locks.
But anyway, Henry, his patient, has dreams of the I Ching with symbols of the watery abyss, which is kind of a reference to Poltergeist, because the pool scene is very important. And in fact, in this scene where Mom’s reading the Carl Jung book, dad starts talking about how he was a great swimmer in high school, and they talk about building the pool. I think this is all Carl Jung referencing the subconscious mind, referencing the watery realm, the abyss, because that’s where the subconscious connects into and where one finds their shadow.
So, dad, he’s actually reading a book called Reagan, the Man, the President. And, you know, Reagan, obviously a huge topic.
And the actor who plays dad was known for being conservative. So maybe, like, that’s all this is.
Maybe it’s because Spielberg loves aliens and Reagan was an occultist who was talked about aliens creating a new world order between reading about Manly P. Hall and his wife’s astrology and all that stuff. Right?
I also want to make note that Mom’s name is Diane, and Diane is the Roman goddess of the hunt. She is a symbol for nature and childbirth.
And this is the. This is, again, one of the themes of the film. It’s the transition and rebirth of Carol, because we know at 12 is the bamitzvah, where it’s like the rebirth.
I think that’s part of the plot.
So meanwhile, Robbie, he’s trying to sleep, and he’s kind of worried about this clown sitting in the chair in their bedroom. So he ends up throwing his coat over it because it’s like, you know, when you’re a kid, you see stuff. Like I. I even did. I remember I could see my dad would put his Corrections officer uniform on the chair for when he got up in the morning. But I could see it from my bed. And I. It looked like Frankenstein to me, right? I saw Frankenstein. It freaked me out, you know?
But mom and dad, they’re smoking.
They’re getting kind of freaky, right? And here comes Robbie.
Robbie for the block. And he’s like, they’re getting closer.
And then says he’s scared of the thunder. And then literally one minute later, dad has explained to him how you can tell the storm is getting further away by counting the time between the lightning and the thunder, which I thought was curious because Robbie just said, they’re getting closer, referring to the lightning and the thunder.
Like, he already knew this.
Okay? But it could just be the. You know how Carol says they’re here? Maybe it’s the same they. The entities.
But notice the storms are a big part of this show, this movie. And the lightning is another Kabbalah reference. It’s the lightning that goes down the path of the Tree of Life.
[00:29:08] Speaker B: Right?
[00:29:08] Speaker A: They call this the Path of the Flaming Sword. From the top of the Tree of Life at Kether, where God is the Supernal triad down to Malkuth in the zigzag pattern, how God, from the Ein Sof through Kether manifests energy into the earth.
Also, dad gives a little speech about the tree and how great the tree is.
He’s. You know. Because Robbie’s like, I’m scared of that freaky old tree. And Dad’s like, oh, no, that tree protects us.
[00:29:40] Speaker B: Listen.
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Listen to what he says about this.
[00:29:45] Speaker D: I don’t like the tree. D.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: It’s an old tree. It’s been around here a long time.
It was here before my company built the neighborhood.
[00:29:55] Speaker D: I don’t like charms. It knows I leave here, doesn’t it?
[00:29:59] Speaker B: Knows everything about us, Rob. That’s why I built a house next to it. So it could protect us. You and Carol Ann and Dana and your mom and me. It’s a very wise old tree.
[00:30:11] Speaker D: Looks at me. It knows I live here.
[00:30:17] Speaker B: You know, I think the storm’s gonna pass us.
[00:30:20] Speaker D: How do you know?
[00:30:21] Speaker A: Because I can count.
[00:30:24] Speaker B: You know what you do?
When you see the lightning?
You count till you hear the thunder.
If you can count higher each time, that means the storm’s moving away from us.
Wanna try?
[00:30:38] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: Get some lightning waves coming.
Wow.
Okay. Got 1, 2, 3.
Okay.
[00:30:57] Speaker A: But I bet you next time you’re
[00:30:58] Speaker B: gonna be able to count to at least four or five.
[00:31:03] Speaker D: Debbie, it’s for you.
[00:31:04] Speaker B: You tell him to take a message, sweet pea.
[00:31:07] Speaker D: Dad wants to take a message.
[00:31:08] Speaker B: Okay.
Night.
[00:31:18] Speaker D: It’s too hot.
[00:31:20] Speaker B: Okay.
Night, angel. Happy dreams. Okay.
[00:31:25] Speaker D: Night, Daddy.
[00:31:27] Speaker A: So everyone’s sleeping in the same bed, right? Because the storms, the TV sign off song goes, and here comes the TV to talk to Heather again. Right? Or I’m sorry, Carol. We see it’s 2:37am and it’s on channel three this time. What?
What does 237 mean? Of course it means the shining room 237. We talked about this.
Heavy in my three part shining mega Deep Dive, where I think it was in early 2025 or something like that. I’ll put a link in the show notes. Right. I’m going to reference several shows and things I’ll link it in the show notes.
And we were talking about connecting it to Bluebeard. And we know the Spielberg and Cooper Kubrick admired each other because they were working on that film AI before Kubrick died.
Anyway, so here you see 237, a reference to the Shining, which had just come out not too long before this movie. So Carol, she gets out of bed, she’s crawling to the tv, she reaches out to it, some ghost hands and spirits, spirit hands fly out of it, and the whole house shakes. And then she drops the iconic line, they’re here.
Next day, family is like, oh, that was an earthquake, bro. What you talking about? And then, then weird stuff starts happening, right? Standard Poltergeist fair.
Glasses breaking spoons, bending, chairs, stacking themselves, right?
Enfield Poltergeist, by the way, also had some of these things that you see in the show on Apple.
The dogs barking at the wall, all kinds of stuff, right? And we see in the backyard, they’re renovating for this pool that they’re gonna put in.
And these dudes working back there, you know, 30 somethings, 40 somethings, they are flirting with Carol’s sister, who’s grabbing her bicycle because she’s on her way to high school.
Now, this is the 80s, granted, but I mean, weird, right there. And they’re like, cat calling her, basically.
Very strange.
What is she, 14, 15?
So Carol turns on the TV in the kitchen and it’s static. And she’s like, enthralled by the static, right?
Mom walks by, totally aloof. She’s like, oh, you shouldn’t do that. You’re going to hurt your eyes or whatever. So she turns on a channel and it’s a war movie of people killing each other, ironically, right?
So in Mom’s bedroom, we see the art of what appears to be an angel on the wall, which, if you pay attention, this will manifest later as the actual angel. Because the spirit world, these entities are kind of like David Ike explains with the Archons, they aren’t creative. They have to emulate things we see in our world. All right, so dad comes home from work.
[00:34:24] Speaker B: Mom.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: Oh, then you get the iconic scene where mom and Carol are in the kitchen, and she turns her back and all these chairs are stacked up on this table out of nowhere, right?
And dad comes home, and mom is trying to show this phenomenon stuff to dad about these chairs moving on their own. And what she does is she puts a circle on the ground in the kitchen, puts the chair there, and then the chair slides out. And then she puts Carol There. And Carol slides out of it too.
Well, this is the Magic circle, all right? This is what they use in ritual magic. The magician will conjure up stuff from within the circle.
And we mentioned Kubrick already, so here’s another Kubrick reference. Because in Eyes Wide Shut, in the final scene in the toy store, you see the Magic Circle game.
And in all of the many, many episodes I’ve done on Eyes Wide Shut, I always mention that damn rainbow costume store, right? All the rainbow references.
And we’re about to see our second rainbow reference in Poltergeist. Because in the bathroom, you can see art of a rainbow.
[00:35:35] Speaker B: All right,
[00:35:38] Speaker A: so the whole ordeal of the next scene is. They start, okay, so mom and dad, they’re bugging out. They’re like, dude, there’s all this weird stuff going on in this house. Now. They go to their neighbor’s house and it’s very strange. They. They’re talking about how they keep getting bit by mosquitoes. But the neighbor, Mr. Tuthill, is like, yeah, nobody in my family gets bit by mosquitoes. Nobody in my bloodline.
What is that?
They don’t explain why this happens.
It’s very weird if, you know, drop a comment in the comment section, I guess.
So now they’re back home and they’re like, okay, the neighbor has no weird phenomenon happening. So what’s going on here? So they go back home.
Nighttime storming again.
Robbie’s scared again. Looking at the. Look at his window, at this crazy tree, freaking him out.
So the tree moves and breaks the window, reaches in and snatches up Robbie.
At the same time, the closet door opens up.
And voices from inside this closet and a bright white light are calling Carol to go inside the closet.
Mom and dad are freaking out. They run outside to try to climb this crazy killer tree.
While the closet is sucking everything into it, right?
The tree opens its mouth and starts eating Robbie.
Dad manages to pull him down. And the tornado, there’s a tornado now. And it proceeds to suck up the tree and all this stuff outside.
Tornado. Again, reference to the wizard of Oz, right? We’re talking about all the influences of Kubrick and Eyes Wide Shut. I mean, even Twin Peaks with the wizard of Oz. It’s all connected to these major directors because the rainbow and you know, somewhere over the rainbow is about disassociating. If you get into the MK Ultra stuff, like I did a four part MK Ultra deep dive not too long ago.
It’s all about disassociating and crossing the rainbow to go to another realm.
So mom dad, get in the bedroom. They’re looking for Carol. They can’t find her.
They think, okay, maybe she’s in the swimming pool, right? Because Mom’s afraid of the swimming pool. So dad dives in, can’t find her.
Meanwhile, Robbie’s upstairs in the bedroom and he hears Carol.
And Carol’s calling for her mom from within the television.
So. So the next day, Dad’s like, we got to get some paranormal investigators to try to figure out where Carol went. Because she’s in the TV now.
Doesn’t bother with the police. I don’t blame them.
So the paranormal team comes over and they’re. They’re taking photos of the house, talking about paranormal activity. And I would think that this movie might be one of the first times you see this ghost hunting topic on TV or the movies, I should say.
And they’re asking dad about how old everyone in the house is. And pay attention to what he says here, because he says, mom is. He goes, mom is 31. No, 32.
All right.
Pulling us in to pay attention. Mom is 32.
Dana is 16, Robbie is 8. All right, notice the sequence. And I didn’t catch the. Carol’s age. I’m going to guess Carol’s four. All right, should we look it up? Because, anyways, my point is, is that there’s a sequence here, right? You got 8, 16, 32.
And I’m looking up. Jamie, look up. How old is Carol’s character in Poltergeist? Doesn’t say.
It doesn’t say. But I’m gonna guess maybe she’s four. Maybe that’s too young.
[00:39:17] Speaker B: I don’t know.
[00:39:17] Speaker A: I don’t have kids. I don’t know how old she is. But anyway, it doesn’t really matter.
I’m gonna guess she’s 4. Because the sequence there is 8, 16, 32, right? And if you continue this formula. And I took. I took. I have a math minor, so I took number theory. And we talked. You talk about deriving a lot of formulas with stuff like this, right? Like, you know, 2 to the N minus 1 or whatever.
So if you carry out that formula, 8, 16, 32, it goes to 64, 128, 256, which is interesting because that is binary code. That’s how you code binary digits and bits.
More importantly, what and where. I think this movie shows US this is 64, which is the number of squares on a chessboard, right? So there’s your. There’s another freemasonic reference because it’s derived from sacred geometry through The E Ching.
[00:40:10] Speaker B: Right.
[00:40:10] Speaker A: Because the e Ching has 64 hexagrams, you know, and it’s kind of this ancient binary code with the. The long lines and broken lines symboling male, symbolizing male and female.
And the idea was you could stare into these hexagrams and you could disassociate. You could go over the rainbow and access what they call the anima mundi. It’s the oneness.
It’s the oneness that we’re going to hear about when Tangina the magician comes in and tells them, like, hey, we’re all connected to one consciousness.
Also, was mom 31? Because that would mean she was pregnant at the age of 14, right?
[00:40:50] Speaker B: No.
[00:40:50] Speaker A: Is that right? Yeah, because of how old Dana is.
Anyway, it was the 80s. Crazy time. So the team goes to the house, and one researcher is talking about how at one house, he filmed a matchbox car that moved seven inches in seven hours.
And all this numerology, we can’t overlook this one either. So 7 and 7, 77. This is the number of Alistair Crowley’s Babylon, all right?
It’s represented on the seven pointed star of Babylon because Babylon is the female spiritual force of change represented on the tree of life as Bina or Bina on in Kabbalah. And it’s really related to the idea of a receptacle or cup, the cup of Bina that is receiving the force in order to manifest.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: Right.
[00:41:43] Speaker A: Specifically, in this home, the vessel is the closet that manifests the spirits into the home. So it’s the Bina container in Poltergeist. Right. Or it’s the tv. You could say it’s the TV that utilizes the female of Carol to create this portal for manifestation into the home, not to get deep in the weeds. Bina also has connections to Saturn because it represents the limitation or the death, because it’s the matrix, the female matrix, the mater, the mother.
[00:42:12] Speaker B: Right.
[00:42:13] Speaker A: Is the matrix from which things can manifest.
And then in this film, it’s, you know, there’s all the Saturnian elements of death and dead and the skeletons.
And Diane, the mother, is the one to enter the portal to save Carol. Right. Diane being the mythological goddess of childbearing.
77 also is another reference to the wizard of Oz, because Aleister Crowley wrote book 77 or Liber Oz.
[00:42:45] Speaker B: Right?
[00:42:46] Speaker A: And Crowley, of course, plays number games because seven, the number of divinity times 11, which is the number of magic, equals 77.
So they open the bedroom and stuff’s levitating and moving everywhere. Right?
Because the kid’s room is Ground zero.
And the only thing left in the room that’s, like, bolted down is an alien poster, which is, you know, Ridley Scott, HR Giger, HP Lovecraft connects into all that.
Go with the bobs and stuff. But then you see the Darth Vader poster holding it down that day off Vader.
But you see some random things moving around, swirling around, and one of them attacks the woman.
What is this item? It is the square, as in the freemasonic compass and square.
So again with another Freemason reference.
So the team starts an investigation. They’re trying to make contact. And mom turns on the tv and she says directly, she says, you must leave it on this channel.
And of course, it’s channel 12, right?
And a portal opens up in a living room and drops jewelry into the living room. And Carol is now talking to everyone. And you can hear her say, there’s something here.
And mom feels Carol’s spirit move through her body.
And they hear some growling and wind, and Carol’s gone again. The team’s like, okay, something’s happening here. It’s a bilocation phenomenon, meaning that the portal with the jewelry was a way out. So maybe there’s a way in inside the home.
[00:44:23] Speaker B: Right.
[00:44:24] Speaker A: And in this next clip I’m going to play, we’re going to hear Robbie having a really deep conversation for a. How old did I say he was?
[00:44:31] Speaker C: 8.
[00:44:33] Speaker A: Where he ends up, I believe, getting initiated into the Kabbalah. Take a listen to this clip.
[00:44:42] Speaker C: It’s all the things that we don’t understand.
I feel like the proto human coming out of the forest primeval and seeing the moon for the first time and throwing rocks at it.
[00:44:55] Speaker D: If I got killed would have been that and ghosts and get stuck in the house like my sister.
[00:45:01] Speaker C: Your sister isn’t dead, Robbie.
[00:45:03] Speaker D: If I got killed, could I visit her and show her how to get back here? You could tie a rope around me and hold it tight. Then somebody could come and get us and we go live somewhere else.
[00:45:18] Speaker C: Some people believe that when you die, your soul goes to heaven.
What?
[00:45:24] Speaker D: Grandpa was dead. I looked at him in the hospital bed and I was watching, but I didn’t see anything go up out of him.
[00:45:31] Speaker C: His soul is invisible, Robbie. You couldn’t see it.
[00:45:34] Speaker D: But how come Grandpa isn’t on television?
[00:45:37] Speaker C: Caroline, some people believe that when people die, there’s a wonderful light as bright as the sun.
But it doesn’t hurt to look into it.
All the answers to all the questions that you ever want to know are inside that light.
And when you walk to it.
You become a part of it forever.
And then some people die, but they. They don’t know that they’ve gone.
[00:46:09] Speaker D: You think they’re still alive?
Yeah.
[00:46:14] Speaker C: Maybe they didn’t want to die.
Maybe they weren’t ready.
Maybe they hadn’t lived fully yet. Or they’d lived a long, long time, but they still wanted more life.
They resist going into that light, however hard the light wants them.
They just. They just hang around, watch tv, watch their friends grow up feeling unhappy and jealous. And those feelings are bad.
They hurt.
And then some people just get lost on the way to the light.
And they need someone to guide them to it.
[00:47:03] Speaker D: So some people get angry and they throw things around. Like in my bedroom.
[00:47:08] Speaker C: Yes.
Just like in school.
Like, some kids are nice to you.
Some kids are mean.
[00:47:17] Speaker D: I got beat up once by three kids. They took my lunch money.
Maybe they got half my truck. And they’re upstairs right now. Hey, listen, partner.
[00:47:27] Speaker C: Maybe we ought to get some shut eye.
[00:47:31] Speaker A: So Robbie is talking to the woman leading the team, and he’s like, what if? Could I die and go find Carol and tie a rope to her and bring her back? Which sounds a lot like the movie Insidious. But anyway, the woman says that, well, when you die, there’s a light as bright as the sun and all the answers are going to be there. You’re going to walk into it and you become a part of it forever. Which sounds Kabbalistic, because in Kabbalah, they believe that the divine creator manifested into our world as light. As the divine light. And it shattered the vessels when. When it decided to come to the. The Earth realm.
Anyway, it’s all about the Kabbalistic monad and how we’re all connected into this other realm. Okay.
She talks about how, yeah, you know, some people die and they don’t know they’re gone.
And then Robbie talks about how he got beat up by three kids for his lunch money. This is again, a free Masonic reference.
This is the Freemason story of Hiram Abiff and the three ruffians that try to.
They kill him to try to get him to reveal the secrets of the Lost Word.
They practice this in freemasonic initiations.
So a guy from the team, he goes into the kitchen. He’s about to grub down on some food, but he starts hallucinating that he’s covered in maggots. And he goes into the bathroom and starts washing his face and begins scratching at his face until he’s ripping handfuls of flesh and exposing his skull.
A PG film mind you, right?
Not, not even PG13, which to be fair, PG13 didn’t exist yet. Ironically, Spielberg petitioned for the.
The rating systems to have a PG13 added so that movies didn’t either have this PG or R rating, because he did. Of course, Spielberg’s not going to get an R rating, right? He’s the family friendly guy.
So anyway, this man, turns out he’s hallucinating the whole time. So the team, they look at the top of the stairs and there’s a light that manifests from there and what appears to be a woman gliding down the stairs. And then this made me actually think of the blood. So with the divine. The lady, right, the hawthor.
Because the lady is a phenomenon that has the government interested for many years. The Vatican, supposedly, and all these groups.
But recall the artwork we saw earlier in the bedroom of the angel. This is the same image, same thing.
So the next morning, Robbie decides he’s gonna go stay with Grandma.
Eight years old, getting in his own luggage, into his own taxi.
Takes the dog with him. Mom just waves goodbye. She’s like, call me.
It was the 80s, you know, different time. It presumed that the kids are leaving so they can deal with the ghost, though. So anyway, here comes this real estate guy named Mr. Teague.
He seems to be the boss of dad somehow, kind of.
But he comes, comes by to bug dad and dad claims he’s got the flu. They don’t really address what’s going on with dad, but he’s sick.
Anyway, he takes dad up to a spot on the hill to overlook this other neighborhood. And we hear that in this conversation. We hear that Carol was born in the house, presumably the poltergeist house. Now there’s some discrepancy there, but whatever, we’ll get into that.
And at this point, the real estate guy makes a Faustian bargain. He says, look, dad, you’re one of the best sellers we’ve got, and if you partner with us, we’re going to get you a better home in the new area we’re developing.
That’s going to overlook all the peasants down on the bottom, right?
Because dad helped sell Cuesta Verde where his current home is.
And we find out that Cuesta Verde was built on a cemetery, right?
And that’s what they’re going to do with this new neighborhood, is they’re going to build it on top of a cemetery. And he says it’s. If you listen, he does not say it’s an ancient burial ground or a Native American burial ground. That’s a Mandela Effect, Right? Because I thought that, too. I thought, yeah, they built it on a Native American burial ground. That’s not what he says at all. All right, because again, Spielberg wrote this based on where this happened in real life in Denver, which is Super Bowl 1988.
Like, he predicted the future. Right?
So here we’re introduced to Tangina. She’s the medium. She’s the real deal, right? And that’s one hell of a name.
One hell of a name. Tangina.
And dad says, which, again, I think there’s a lot of coded sex references in here. Call me crazy.
Dad says to Tangina, so what side of the rainbow are we working on tonight? My goodness, there’s another rainbow reference.
What’s even stranger is that Tangenta is played by Zelda Rubenstein, who was the voice of Skittles for many years in the Taste the Rainbow ads.
If you’re an old loser like me, you remember that she also was in a movie called under the Rainbow from 1981. It was the movie right before Poltergeist, starring Chevy Chase and Carrie Fisher. Never seen it, but it’s based on the story of the wizard of Oz munchkins. And how.
You know, the. The lore is that the Munchkins were. The actors were at Culver Hotel causing the scene, orgies, throwing stuff, breaking stuff, like rock stars. Right, but that’s what that movie’s about, about the wizard of Oz. And she also appeared in an episode of Reading Rainbow.
More rainbows. Okay, so Tangent gives a speech, and this is, again, just another initiation into the occult.
This is connecting the oneness, the consciousness thing and the phenomenon into the. The watchers from the Book of Enoch. Take a listen.
[00:53:31] Speaker D: You’re gonna be strong for me and for your target.
I could do absolutely. But nothing without your faith in this world and your love for the children.
[00:53:41] Speaker C: I will.
[00:53:42] Speaker B: Believe me, I will.
[00:53:44] Speaker D: And will you do anything I ask, even if it comes contrary to your beliefs as a human being and a Christian?
[00:53:51] Speaker A: Yes, I promise.
[00:53:52] Speaker C: Please.
[00:54:00] Speaker D: Oh, come on in.
Get. Run.
There is no death.
It is only a transition to a different sphere of consciousness.
Carol Ann is not like those she’s with.
She is a living presence in their spiritual, earthbound plane.
They are attracted to the one thing about her that is different from themselves.
Her life force.
It is very strong.
It gives off its own illumination.
It is a light that implies life and memory of love and home and earthly pleasures.
Something they desperately desire but can’t have anymore.
Right now, she’s the closest thing to that, and that is a terrible distraction. From the real light that has finally come for them.
Jump to stab me.
These souls, who, for whatever reason are not at rest, are also not aware that they have passed on.
They’re not part of consciousness as we know it.
They linger in a perpetual dream state.
A nightmare from which they cannot wake up.
Inside the spectralite is salvation.
A window to the next plane.
They must pass through this membrane where friends are waiting to guide them to new destinies.
Carol Ann must help them cross over.
And she will only hear her mother voice now.
Hold on to your cells.
There’s one more thing.
A terrible presence is in there with her.
So much rage.
So much betrayal.
And it. I never sensed anything like it.
I don’t know what hovers over this house, but it was strong enough to punch a hole into this world.
Take your daughter away from you.
It keeps Carol very close to it and away from the spectral light.
It lies to her.
It says things only a child can understand.
It has been using her to restrain the others.
To her, it simply is another child.
To us, it is the Beast.
[00:57:27] Speaker A: So Tangent says there’s no death. There’s only a transition. And she talks about how the spirits are attracted to Carol because of her life force.
She says it gives off its own illumination.
Then she puts.
She says that Carol puts off energy of earthly pleasures, which is something they desire but can’t have anymore. Then she ends by saying it’s the Beast.
So we’re hearing about the idea of spirits who want to steal Carol’s loose. They’re attracted to her life force. And there’s talk of earthly pleasures they desire but can’t have anymore. Well, this is clearly a story of the Watchers.
This is the fallen angels from the Book of Enoch. Because they came to Earth because they couldn’t resist the women. They wanted to make sexy time, right?
And she further connects it to the Beast. So we know these aren’t good spirits. These are demonic spirits, like the Watchers.
Like the ones that possess that whole Epstein Files crowd. That’s why they’re into kids.
Allegedly. Now pay attention here. Because Tangina says to mom, you gotta do what I ask. Because even if it’s contrary to your beliefs as a Christian, old Spielberg told you straight up what was going on here. Okay?
So they call out for Carol to try to get her to come back. Tangina heads of the closet, and she proves the bilocation theory by tossing tennis balls into the closet. They manifest in the portal in the living room.
Ryan, the researcher, grabs the ball, comes through. It’s covered in pink goo. Now gives it a little sniff. Not sure why. No judgment, but hey. So now they decide, look, we’re going to throw a rope through the portal, send mom in to retrieve Carol.
So they do that. They pull mom and Carol through and immediately throw them in the bathtub. They Zelda or not Zelda Tangena says that out loud. She says, get them in the water.
And then she says, this house is clean. It was a cleansing ritual, which is Kabbalah. It’s the mikvah. They literally talk about the kabbalistic cleansing ritual of the mikvah done in the bathtub.
Spielberg’s wife did this supposedly when they got married.
Also, recall we heard Carol was born in the house. Remember we talked about that?
She was born in the house, possibly in the bathtub, Right?
What are we talking about here? Because Carol, she’s like, probably four. I’m guessing four or five. And this is a brand new home. So that doesn’t even add up. Doesn’t even make sense, but whatever. But all this is curious because Diana, her mother, Diana, is the Roman moon goddess of childbirth.
And her other daughter is Dana. Right, Dana. Diana.
But there’s something important to the birth, rebirth, initiation and the occult going on with Carol. She is like the chosen one from these entities.
So they’re packing up the house. They’re going to stay at the Holiday Inn. And mom mentions this to Dana, and Dana’s like, yeah, I remember that place.
Implying, like, she was doing things there. But then changes the subject immediately to Mom’s gray hair to distract her because now mom has gray hair, by the way, which is giving Leland Palmer now the Twin Peaks reference.
So mom, like, they. They think they’ve cleansed the house. Everything’s cool now. They got Carol back. Whatever, whatever. Mom’s relaxed. She’s getting naked. She’s gonna get in the tub.
She’s enjoying the tub. A red light, no less, to show us the tone of what’s happening in the tub.
And the kids are going to bed.
[01:00:56] Speaker B: I don’t know.
[01:00:56] Speaker A: Don’t ask me why. They said they were on a Holiday Inn. Now they’re getting in bed, whatever. And we see Carol in bed, and she’s taking the head off of her doll and putting it back on, which is kind of creepy. Robbie’s still freaking out about the clown.
He even looks under his bed. But then that clown is creeping on a come up, gets behind Robbie and starts strangling him right now. Fun fact, in real life, he was being strangled. He almost died.
There was a malfunction in the clown arms. But Spielberg stepped in and saved him because he saw his face turning blue. Again, Spielberg was the director, literally, right?
So mom, she’s out of the tub. The kids are getting choked out quietly. And she’s in bed. She’s got her panties and a shirt on, and she’s getting real cozy, if you know what I’m saying.
But then she hears Robbie screaming. And a spirit comes into the room and possesses, like, takes over Mom’s body and starts thrashing her around in the ceiling.
[01:01:53] Speaker B: And.
[01:01:53] Speaker A: And it’s. If you’ve ever seen the entity, it’s given those vibes, if you know what I’m saying.
Like, again, these ghosts are horny, right? Again, the watchers. So mom, she runs outside to try to get help. She ends up slipping into this pool. And now you get the infamous skeleton scene, right? And whatever they paid mom was not enough, right? She’s like an inch away from these skeletons with water and mud splashing on her face and mouth.
But now we’re back inside. And the closet, the portal is open again. Only this time, it’s got this tubing that looks like a mouth.
It looks like a mixture of.
It made me think of the T. The tunnels from ET Again, two sides of the coin, right? Remember those? Like, what do you call it? Airway tunnels. They put an E.T. it kind of reminded me of Stranger Things, you know, they got the goo and the tentacles, and now chaos ensues. Corpses and graves popping up everywhere. Mr. Teague is. He shows up to yell at dad again about how he only moved the headstones, but not the or. I’m sorry. Dad yells at Mr. Teague and he’s like, you only moved the headstones. You didn’t even move the bodies, right?
And the house and the family, like, they scramble out of the house. The house folds in on itself.
Mr. T gets ghost punched or whatever, and that’s it. Then you get the denouement.
They finally get to the Holiday Inn. Dad wheels the TV on the balcony. And we end where we started, right, dad? With the tv.
And there’s an Easter egg on the Holiday Inn marquee. It says, welcome, Dr. Fantasy and friends.
It’s a reference to the producer of the film, Frank Marshall, who did stage magic.
And that’s where it ends, right? It ends where it began. Now, in conclusion, what did we see? We saw several things.
One, the television is a medium, right? The TV starts and ends with the film.
It’s the Conway that pulls Carol into the spirit world.
It’s the Ouija Board. It’s the scrying device. You could argue that this is the phone.
We’re putting our conscious. We’re extending our consciousness into this other realm of the Internet on the phone or the tv.
And that’s what Tangent is always harping on about at the end, about our consciousness transcending realms.
These spirits are demonic. They’re putting on voices like they’re friendly to dupe Carol into joining. You see this kind of thing with the ring or Videodrome.
The most interesting one to me is the Netflix show Archive 81. I did two episode series on that. That one was fascinating.
Then you’ve got Freemasonry. We talked about King Edward.
Robbie’s talking about his Hiram Abiff initiation getting beat up. And then the compass and square attacking.
Overall, we’ve got Kabbalah. We saw Super Bowl 22, right? The 22 paths. We saw the day off, the Vader next to the closet where the portal happens, where these entities can come through from the abyss.
We saw the tree outside. That’s the tree of life. We saw the lightning hitting the tree. That’s the path of the flaming sword we saw manifests God into Earth.
Mom and Carol are doing the mikvah after they’re pulled through the day off, which is the realm of creativity that manifests into reality. It’s the connection of subconscious to the conscious mind. Which is why Diana is reading Carl Young 12, shows up multiple times, right? Channel 12 on the TV.
Robbie and the sports ball man wearing 12. Heather O’ Rourke tragically dying at the age of 12.
We also had rainbows. We saw them on the nightstand in the bathroom. We saw the tornado. We saw the 77 symbolism with the wizard of Oz.
Dad’s asking Tangent what side of the rainbow they’re going to be on.
The actress Zelda Rubenstein has the whole rainbow background.
And of course, wizard of Oz connects into this. Influences from Kubrick through Eyes Wide Shut and all this disassociating stuff.
Then you got sex magic, which, you know, Libra 77. Libra. Oz is another connection to wizard of Oz. But Crowley, you know, the 7 times 11 is 77. And he uses this on the Star of Babylon, the female force of spiritual change as the receptacle to receive the force for manifestation. And this is a sex magic idea of the phallus penetrating the feminine to manifest new realities through sex magic.
And we heard about the. The fallen angels, these watchers attracted to Carol’s life force. They want the earthly pleasures they can’t have anymore.
And how all these Things are contrary to Christian beliefs and so on. And since we have all this Kubrickian sex, magic, rainbows and Eyes Wide Shut, I actually opened up my text that Kubrick used to research Eyes Wide Shut called Cult and Occult. And in it, they’ve got a whole section about poltergeist, if you can believe that. Which makes me think Spielberg had this book too.
Maybe Kubrick and Spielberg had a conversation about this. I don’t know.
But in the book, it says that occultists believe that psychic energy can be found at paranormal events. And it’s the same energy found in sexual.
And it comes from Wilhelm Reich’s idea of Oregon, which is orgasmic energy or paracelsus astral light.
And they said in the book that poltergeist are believed to be disturbed adolescents who are unable to earth their sexual energies with a partner.
[01:07:33] Speaker B: Right.
[01:07:36] Speaker A: That’s what the book says. And that’s what could be happening in this house, is there’s unearthed sexual energies.
And the researchers say that poltergeists are found oftentimes in homes of people who masturbate excessively because they’re releasing all this sexual energy that’s ungrounded, untapped, un. Based on Earth with a partner.
And another poltergeist example is given in the book of Amherst House with Esther Cox, who had all this paranormal activity until she got married, where she could earth the energy of sex magic.
Because the occultists believe that sex magic energy can be even transferred to other people. Right. Because meaning old people can pull it from young people, which is, again, Epstein Files territory. And they call this shunimatism. And I talked about this at length in my Eyes Wide Shut analysis. I’ll try to put a link to part one. I mean, I think I did seven episodes on Eyes Wide Shut, wrote a book called Kubrick’s code back in 2013 about the subject.
But at the time, I didn’t have the book Cult. No cult. So I didn’t know about Shunamatism. But that’s the idea of sleeping with the youth to gain energy.
[01:08:49] Speaker B: Right.
[01:08:50] Speaker A: And they would use this in the ancient world for various reasons. Okay.
Sleeping with young virgins and maidens and so on.
And this is the passage that Kubrick had underlined for the scene in Eyes Wide Shut. Are you ready? It says in the book, it says Emperor Barbarossa held young boys against his stomach and genitals in order to savor and absorb their energy.
Because that’s. And that’s arguably what maybe was taken out from the film. If you believe that theory that Kubrick’s film was edited after his death.
So in conclusion, and we all know Spielberg and Kubrick again, they were working on AI when he died. When Kubrick died.
So in conclusion, Illuminate confirmed Poltergeist. Okay, this movie is crazy impactful of kabbalistic symbolism.
