They then ask whether artificial intelligence could function like an alien intelligence and connects the rise of AI to Jacques Vallée, Jack Parsons, David Bowie, John C. Lilly, occult philosophy, Gnosticism, transhumanism, the Singularity, and humanity’s fascination with escaping the physical world.

Lastly, they enter the world of Memetic Magick: the idea that memes, bots, viral narratives, manufactured controversy, likes, comments, and algorithmic amplification can function as tools for manipulating collective consciousness. If enough artificial accounts tell you that everyone believes something…how long before the humans begin believing it too?
