Welcome back. Welcome back. You’re listening to conspiracy theories and on popular culture. I’m your host, Isaac wise up. Ready for more matrix talk, we continue down our journey of the matrix CS. And today we’re talking about the sequel The Matrix Reloaded. I hope you listen to the first two episodes of The Matrix arc. We talked about the matrix one, the first film from 1999 for two full episodes. Wow, what a great movie that was right. And we talked about the symbolism of the film, the dying resurrected Gods symbolism, the philosophies we got so smart from that first film. But let me tell you, we’re not done on our journey we’ve got so much more to talk about. And we’re gonna talk about The Matrix Reloaded. This is now the third episode and the arc of matrix episodes. The Matrix sees should you watch this second film? Absolutely, again, what’s wrong with you for even thinking about not watching the second movie? Shame on you. If you can see the video, I’m putting a big Shamy finger at you. And maybe you’re one of those people that was like, Isaac, you know, I love the first one. But the second and the third one. I disagree with you. So stick with me. Maybe I can convey how interesting and important the sequels were. And if you want the whole story, you need the whole story. And that’s what you get in the second and third matrix. So the sequel, The Matrix Reloaded, of course, it’s great. It’s a continuation of the matrix one. If you liked one you should like to you get more of the same. This fusion of the spirituality technology futurism AI. Man vs robot good versus evil, action, philosophy and of course, love. It’s a love story. The sequels again, rated R and again, I have no idea why. It was in fact, the highest grossing rated R movie until Deadpool came about. But the Matrix Reloaded had the crown of highest grossing R rated film for about 13 years. That’s a good run. Okay. It’s a good run. I mean, just on the sheer numbers. I mean, there was less human beings around 13 years prior. So of course, and with inflation, you should be able to beat the numbers pretty easy. You know what I’m saying? The film is two hours and 18 minutes again, violating my role. It’s fine. It’s only two minutes longer than the first matrix. But I kind of get it right I kind of feel like the second one feels longer than the first one. To be fair. Who’s in it? It’s the same people from the first one cyphers dead. Tank and those are dead. But we trade them out and we get Jada Pinkett Smith is Niobe Jada Pinkett Smith always in the news, always in the gossip tabloids, we’re gonna talk about her. Just a little bit, just a little bit, just a scoot. Plot spoilers are coming. Let’s just get into the film, right? It starts out opening credits, we get the binary looking matrix code, implying that we’re going back into the matrix, okay. We witnessed some security guards, they’re about to leave this building. And here comes Trinity flying through the air with a motorcycle, again, great use of the surreal action right off the bat. And the first line in the film, security guard looks up in the skies. At Trinity at an entity, a deity, a God. And he says, Oh my God, that’s the first line in the film. Because in the first Matrix film, we talked about how many times you hear Jesus Christ, oh my god, you know, so on. Because again, it’s about spirituality. And Arthur C, Clarke said, Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. And these security guards don’t understand they think they’re seeing a god. In the first film, they did it so many times. And in fact, they even reference Neo being baptized if you saw I mean, you listen to the first two episodes I did, right? Came back to death or came, he died, he came back to life. He’s the Savior.

And now Trinity is in the pantheon of gods because people don’t understand how is she doing this? How she bending the laws of space time. So we see Trinity falling from a window, shooting, she double gun shooting at an agent, Agent blast around the stomach. Just so happens to be the same place where they stabbed Christ on the cross. Coincidence? I think not. But Neil wakes up. It was just a dream. Or is it? And again, we’ve got this idea of fate and determinism versus free agency. You Neil’s wondering, is that really going to happen? Am I becoming the Oracle? Can I see the future? Because the future is already laid out. That’s what we’re wondering right now. But we see Neil was just dreaming. He’s in the Nebuchadnezzar, Morpheus and the crew they’re headed desire on but first. Actually, they’re headed to a meeting to get in his eye on but first, they’re, they’re dodging sentinels. Right? The Sentinels are real pesky in the second movie. And, you know, we’ve talked about Arthur C. Clarke. But 2001 A Space Odyssey which double Koski sisters said, was a huge influence on the matrix movies. The original 2001 monolith story came from an Arthur C Clarke short story called The Sentinel. So ironically, that’s, we see. That’s what the name of these alien squids are called. They’re called the Sentinels. And obviously Arthur C. Clarke in the Gnosticism as well. With the alien intelligence, the model is coming to enlighten mankind and evolve man into something else. The transhuman, the digital consciousness, which is that not what exists in the matrix, is that not what we’re headed for? When Mark zuchini Berg takes us into the metaverse? You know, we’re going to be in there with our little goat and tortoise and fts. It’s gonna be a nightmare. Now, we’re in the Nebuchadnezzar. They go to the meeting, they meet Niobe, who’s played by Jada Pinkett Smith. And I found it very curious because Will Smith was originally on the shortlist of people to play Neil. And if you haven’t been following the news, I don’t know what’s going on. Apparently Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has some kind of open relationship. They out the dirty laundry on the red table. I haven’t caught all the shows. But they make it look like well smithdown bad but we don’t know. We don’t know inside their relationship. We Don’t know what’s going on. And it’s none of our business. To be honest. Everyone’s making fun of Will Smith. Future The rapper trying to hit on Jada Pinkett Smith making fun of her man. Oh, boy, it’s a mess. That’s a mess right there. But it’s none of our business. You know? Anyways, Naomi, she’s part of this rebellion, along with Morpheus and the Zionist I guess is what we can call them. She warns that they got the last transmission of the Osiris, which you can watch in the end of matrix, you can watch the last transmission of the Osiris now as a curious name for another craft the Osiris. Again, the Egyptian mythology at play here, the death and resurrection story of Osiris because Osiris is killed by his brother set until ISIS finds all the pieces of his dead body, except for the one and you know, the one that big golden palace. So she fashions one. And he doesn’t actually get resurrected necessarily, but she has sexy time with him and creates the child Horace, right. You probably heard my Christmas special when we talked all about this idea. Now Roy Jones, Jr. The boxer he’s also one of the Zionist rebels in this movie. Got to mention him. Guy two lines in the whole movie. Butchers both of them. Good one. Good one. I don’t know why they’re doing all these cameos, doing all this extra shit. But they do it. They’re doing the extra stuff in matrix reload. And we hear about how there’s 72 hours until 250,000 sentinels get to Zion

and we see this sort of as one would expect a battle of religion versus the military, right? Morpheus is teen prophecies spirituality Neil’s the Christ figure the that’s coming to save everyone. But Niobe she’s more into what commander lock thinks commander lock is like no, we hit them with the military. We’re not waiting on some phony baloney Savior nonsense. So you can see this battle of earthly things versus spiritual things going on. So an agent shows up to the meeting. But he’s disguised as someone else and he says Neil has set me free which is a very Gnostic idea. Neo as the Savior setting people free and red pilling them but he’s just an agent. So Neo fights the agents wearing what may I offer up looks like a priest outfit minus the white collar. Again spiritual idea. Then the Nebuchadnezzar flies desire to mix design on this is the underground resistance where they hide and attack the artificial intelligence overlords and their matrix and the Sentinels. We find out Morpheus as before the guy named commander lock because commander lock stole Niobe from and this Jada Pinkett Smith She’s always got dudes I don’t know what’s going on database but these guys are losing their minds around her all around her Morpheus one and to stay near the matrix, because they’re waiting on word from the Oracle. But commander locks like nah, that’s spiritual mumbo jumbo get down here and grab a gun. What are you doing? Military Industrial Complex lives on in the Zionist underground. We are introduced to another grunt it’s kind of like malice version 2.0. And he tells me he tells Neo like, oh, you saved me because he’s the savior. Of course he’s wearing his priest outfit. And the Grunt is asking, well actually, he’s not wearing sorry. Confusing point there. Neil was only wearing the priests outfit in the matrix. But now he’s down in Zion and he’s just wearing Kanye West looking derelict, holy dirty clothing, basic clothing so the grace is asking what’s going on something bigs about to go down and you can see here that even in this world where the common folk are critical in the defenses and saving humanity the elite still don’t tell the pellet peasants everything they can’t be trusted. That’s the implication here. They’re worried that the that the people the peasants are going to panic because the sheep are go crazy. Once they find out hey, there’s going to be 250,000 sentinels coming down to kill all have us. So we’re introduced to a new character named link and his family doesn’t really play a big role in the film. We’re not going to get into it. Apparently link Mary Tang and her sister both of whom apparently died. During the matrix one link is now the pilot. None of this matters, who cares? We see the counselor. That’s like the president figure of design underground, gives this big speech to the people of Zion. They’re all holding tiki torches. They give a prayer to again a faceless, nameless God, that is the fantasy God of all science fiction. Same goes for if you read the 2001 Space Odyssey novels, I believe it’s the the fourth and last one is where I don’t remember the names off the top of my head is a commander Bowman. No, no, the guy who dies in 2001 the first one and floats off into space. He’s crying. He’s like frozen, and he gets a lot out. And he is picked up by an intergalactic civilization because we’re all living on ships by then. And they talk about how there’s no belief in gods anymore. So it’s always this faceless, nameless God. That’s the fantasy god of the Sci Fi. Then Morpheus comes out. He starts the party. They’re, they’re techno dancing in the cave. Because the Sentinels are coming to kill them. They want to, I don’t know, have one good party. This is easily the corniest part of the entire sequence of films. It goes on way too long. But the point is showing that the rebellion is still very human. And they’re celebrating like humans do and during the rave neobanks Trinity.

But again, no our rating needed here. There’s no no nudity that I recall. But the reality is they did they still did a pretty good job of putting sexy time into a nerd movie. So shout out to them. You know, Neos, he’s smoking on Trinity. We see you see little zoom in with a little string of saliva. They do pretty good dancers are all sweaty and nasty nipples everywhere. Nipples in the crowd? Not Trinity are Neos nipples. But it’s hard to tell the male nipples Why are male nipples okay to see but not female. Very strange, right? But I don’t rate movies has an R rating. Hey, you know, but they could have got this all seen out pretty stupid. Before the big rave Morpheus is saying that they’ve been at war for over 100 years. So if you think about what he said in The Matrix One, you can conclude, because in the Matrix One, he says we think it’s 2199. They’re not sure. So they’ve been at war for over 100 years. That means it’s the 2000s is when the AI took over, which don’t be alarmed. Could be anytime now. I’m just saying I’m just saying. So Meanwhile, back in the matrix, Agent Smith, he catches one of these rebel dudes and he steals a soul. This guy named Bane. And of course, Bane when Agent Smith puts his hands inside of his body to take them over, says, Oh, God, again, see argument from earlier. And the agent says Smith will suffice. Again, not to beat a dead horse. It’s all about spirituality. Agent Smith, he takes the phone call of the year because you know, they got a call in the payphone to get people back and forth between the matrix. Smith picks up the phone. Now he’s in Zion. He’s in the rebellion. Oh, snap. Not good. But we won’t see the real problems with that until closer to the third film. All right. So the counselor, everyone’s asleep. Has a boring talk with Neil has this they have this philosophical debate over what control is how some machines can give us life? Some machines are trying to kill us. What’s the difference? The difference is we can control one set of machines not the other, basically. And the counselor he’s hedging his bets. And he gives permission for the Nebuchadnezzar to go back up into the matrix which defies commander lock because the counselor on some levels, either he believes in Neil or he thinks look, I gotta hedge my bets. We’re about to die all of us. Maybe he doesn’t trust commander locked military that much. Who knows? But he kinda is telling me oh, like bro, get up there. Do your thing. Hopefully you make it because we got to do something. Neo he gets a message from the Oracle via Roy Jones Jr. That was a second line in the movie that he butchered. And Morpheus goes to assemble his crew. And Bain who again is Agent Smith now in disguise, he’s trying to follow Neo he wants to kill Neo and Morpheus but mostly Neo, he’s mad at Neo for kicking this button the first one. So Neo he Jacks into the matrix because he wants to go talk to the Oracle immediately in the streets, we see Christ imagery, and I’ll put these photos on Instagram. Neil, he’s fighting a guard of the Oracle named Seraph, which is interesting when you look at the spiritual element of the seraphim. And we’re going to talk more about this in Matrix Revolutions in the third film. But he he Seraph wants to fight neocons, you know, he’s got to make sure it’s really Neil I don’t know, Goofy, Goofy idea, but whatever. doesn’t really make sense because if Neo was an agent and not really Neo, the agent would be able to kill Seraph just right off the bat. But who cares? We get some good fight choreography. I won’t I won’t get buried in the weird ideas there. And the guard Seraph, the reason why he says he has to play him is his you do not truly know someone until you fight them. Which kind of comes from Fight Club too. Right. Interesting. Interesting.

So Seraph opens up the door. The to programmer accesses the backdoor to key position that keeps the Oracle protected. Neo meets with the Oracle they’re playing more philosophical games about fate, while suggesting to Neo like, hey, look, I could be a program in this machine to by the way, I can be part of the system. She could be a disinformation agent, more or less. Take a listen.

So Neil reveals he’s there to figure out why is he the one not whether or not he is but why. A bigger question, higher level of abstraction. Oracle says we’re all here to do what we’re here to do with this is Alister Crowley’s idea of true will finding your universal true will. Because there’s a belief in the occult that everyone has a purpose for being here, and you must do anything you can to find that purpose. But Oracle, she knows the future she’s programmed to know it. And she talks about how there’s a program written for every element of the entire world, from a grand creator, the grand creator, determine Freemasonry, by the way that they also use in this movie. We’re gonna hear more about it. She was saying that their stories of supernatural beings, vampires, aliens, ghosts, and those are just the system, assimilating a program that got out of line. These are programs that were supposed to be deleted, but they go into exile or hide now. They don’t want to go back to the source the machine mainframe. And that’s the path where the one ends. That’s the fate of Neil. Through the door made of light, a Gnostic idea. Because this light, this is the source of all creation, the sun behind the sun, aka Sirius, the source of thalamic current, as per Alister Crowley, Kenneth grant. But basically, Neil, he’s, he’s facing deletion because he’s an anti conformist, and he has to make a choice to hide or go back to the source go through that doorway of light. And if you read, I’ve got a book called symbols of Freemasonry, and it says the word light is a metaphor for the word, the last word, the word is lost. That’s what the Freemasons say. There’s a network of meaning for these Masons. One example of such as new initiates to the degree of entered apprentice. They have a blindfold on a hoodwink, that is removed, when they’re initiated when they are given the light when they can see the light when they’re taken from the darkness and the ignorance into the light. And ultimately, as many theorists suggest, and I believe the light is a reference to Lucifer, and the Gnostic revelation that God is bad. Lucifer is good, long story short. So Neos told that he’ll have to choose the life of Trinity, or the fall of Zion, this guy’s always stuck in a weird spot, right? The first movie had to choose between Morpheus or himself. And he died. So they were kind of telling the truth. He died, but then he was brought back to life. He was initiated into the new, new understanding of the world. And this is your classical dilemma, saved your loved one. Or let everyone die, and your loved ones gonna die anyhow. Real problematic, he has to go back to the source through the Keymaker, this guy called the Keymaker to save Zion. But the Keymaker is under control of a guy named Merovingian. And that’s kind of his is the plot of the whole second movie. The Oracle leaves and bam, another one of the greatest action sequences of film history. Neil flight A billion agent Smith’s but what matters here is that Smith when he shows up he walks through and amongst crows, black birds, when he makes his appearances, the alchemical symbolism of the Negredo in the first film, we saw the alchemical Phoenix by where Neo and Trinity were flying that helicopter, if you recall, if you liked and subscribed on the Instagram and saw that image but before they get into the big fight, Smith reveals that there was some kind of connection that happened in the first film when they fought. Because remember, Neo destroyed Agent Smith, which meant he was kind of deleted and he was supposed to go back to the source the Machine City there. But he says he was compelled to disobey and how he is free now. And this is all very Luciferian ideas of the rebel Angel. Take a listen.

So now Smith knows that nobody’s free. Everyone does what they’re supposed to do according to their purpose is what he’s talking about. And then all the Smiths start the fighting. And then the new agent comes, because he wants to take out Neal and Agent Smith, because they’re all exiles now. But then Agent Smith turns him into another Smith. Gotcha. oodles of Smith’s all the Smith’s you could ever want. Now, in the first film, I said that Hugo weavings, Agent Smith, made the movie. In the second one, it kind of leans more towards Keanu Reeves and Neil, I think, or Roy Jones, Jr. Whichever you pick your favorite performance. The Okay, so Morpheus, Neo Trinity, they’re like, Okay, cool. We got to find the Keymaker. But the Merovingian is got them. Let’s go find the Merovingian. So they go to a place called Club hell. Again, spirituality. They meet the Merovingian and his wife, Persephone played by Monika boo jelly. And they’re like, hey, we want the Keymaker. And he’s like, Don’t you know who I am? And they have this philosophical debate, of course, right? Because that’s what this movie is all about. And the Merovingian says choice is an illusion created by those in power. He seems to believe in fate. On some level, too. He believes in causality. He says, cause and effect is the only thing that exists in the universe. And he mentally changes code in his mind. So all Neil has to do for Persephone to get the Keymaker give them a location the Keymaker is to kiss her. He wants she wants Neil to kiss her because he hasn’t felt true love because Merovingian is a real jerk. But she’s like, you gotta kiss me as if you’re kissing Trinity. I want to feel it. And Trinity like this so silly. She overreact a billion times over. I don’t know why they made her do that. Which makes me think there was maybe an original saint. This is my conspiracy theory. I bet. There was something more along the lines of an indecent proposal where Persephone was like, I want Neo to make love to me. Trinity. You want the Keymaker you get you let me have Keanu for the night. Because that’s the way she reacts. Like, she just wants a kiss. And she and Trinity pulls the guns out like bitch You better watch yourself. Like damn, take it easy. Like are you trying to save the world or not? Like it’s just a kiss Take it easy. But it’s almost like she reacts like it was more than just a kiss just my conspiracy. And Neil’s like, fine if I have to Oh, kiss Monica Bellucci. Okay, and he does it and she’s like, No, you didn’t do it. Right. And then he’s like, Alright, let me do it. Let me come correct. And then he does it right. And Persephone takes the crew to the chateau, where they meet two vampires named Cain and Abel. Right. Very curious. Very curious, all these biblical names and stuff. And Cain and Abel, they’re difficult to remove from the matrix because if you recall, the supernatural things like the vampires, such as these two are exiles.

And it’s funny because they’re even watching a vampire movie. It’s a meta on meta. Vampire is watching a vampire movie. It’s called brides of Dracula. I looked it up because I was curious. So the one vampire he gets killed with silver bullets by Persephone. The other runs away gets to the Merovingian Merovingian shows up with the albino twins with the dreadlocks with the dreadlock Arasta. And they’re trying to stop Morpheus, Neo and crew from taking the kingmaker with him and you get this massive dramatic fight scene a great fight scene by the way. Semi pistol bah bah bah, bah bah, shooting the gas tank. The whole scene is incredibly long. It’s got a motorcycle chase. I mean, it’s good. It’s action packed. And we hear the name of the new agent, the guy the new Agent Smith, right because Agent Smith now in exile, there’s a new agent. His name is Adam. The call on the radio for Adam 12 which is curious because of obviously the name of Adam from the creation story from the Bible. And Cain and Abel were the vampires in exile. That were buddies with the Merovingian if you recall. So Morpheus, Neo Trinity to get away with the Keymaker he takes him to this building talks about how there’s this labyrinth of doors, and only one of these doors will lead to the source and it’s heavily guarded. And it’s got an alarm connected to a bomb. So the crew needs to take down the electricity that covers 27 blocks Exactly. They need to take down the electricity grid so they can take down the alarm. They’ve got exactly three to 14 seconds to get through the door. keymaker also, he knows all this because that’s the purpose for him being there again everything is purpose driven. True will They say the grid nodes are 21 through 48 Those are the 27 grid nodes, that means you be taken down the number three and 14 I believe that to be the number of pi, which is 3.14. Now, this freewill or the illusion thereof, is what created the anomaly, which in the sixth iteration of the matrix is Neo. The humans have a subconscious programming of the freewill and it’s a matter of them embracing them, or I’m sorry. It’s a matter if they embrace it to snap out of it. Basically, if they decide to take the red pill or not, okay. In this escalating probability of disaster is the idea that the anomaly will eventually snowball. And that’s when they sort of wipe the slate clean. When the one goes back to the source. This anomaly, the variant is the one that’s the denial of the false reality, the matrix reality which they’ve created. And the snowball Zion, the community growing and the architect has to eradicate Zion, every time it becomes too large, and he says this is the sixth time we’re going to destroy this thing.

But the architect notices a profound difference that Neo is deeply in love with one person which obviously is Trinity. The toady This is a story about love and embracing the love is what allows Neo to ultimately transcend this whole thing I think some people would say that Christ is the embodiment of love and that was his main message was was love for one another now the anomaly is the beginning and the end Neo can choose the door that will lead to the source to do what he’s told to do. His purpose is true will is his fate you can embrace the agave the highest level of love and the love for humanity that God hands or you can embrace Eros, the romantic love for Trinity the intimate love for Trinity now, which and of course you know, the problem with that is like the architect tells him cool, so you’ll save her but like ultimately, you’re all gonna die. So Neil embraces the hope that he can have it both ways. He’s like, I’m gonna do both things. I’m gonna save Trinity and humanity. And the architect is he’s like, cool, fine, because you all die. So Neil, he goes back into the matrix, saves Trinity kind of narrowly said he saves her from falling to death, but she still gets shot with a bullet, okay? But he’s the one so Fret not my friends, because he reaches in and pulls the bullet out of her body. But she flatlines anyhow. Got a real tragedy in our hands. But wait, there’s more. Bow Wait, Neal tells her he loves her too damn much. reaches into her heart. Spiritually reaches into her heart. Or restarts that son of a gun. Now we know he’s God, right? Now we know he’s God. He brings her back from the dead. So we might have another play on the first film, where they said, Look, Neo, you’re gonna have to die or Morpheus is gonna have to die. And he’s like, No, I’m gonna save Morpheus and Neo did die, but he was brought back to life. And in this scenario, the architect says, you can either save Trinity or save humanity, which can’t do both. And Trinity does in fact, die. But he brings her back to life. So he kind of breaks the loop breaks the code he, you know, he kisses zombie Trinity. And now now we got to move along. How’s Neo gonna save Zion. He tells Morpheus this dilemma. He reveals how the prophesy from the oracle was just a deception. It was a false hope that he would be the one who would rise to save Zion. But the architect revealed that the one just serves a purpose of destroying Zion. So they can rebuild with the 23 weirdos 23 million weirdos. So meanwhile, the Sentinels, they destroy the Nebuchadnezzar but Neo is God body and he kills him with his mind and hands, but it puts him into a coma. Another ship called the hammer shows up saves the crew and meanwhile we find out that the whole military gameplan that commander lock was so sure of in a work. Zions down that and that’s how the film ends. a cliffhanger if you will. Seems like the prophecy from the article was BS. The Military Industrial Complex failed, what is gonna happen? And then to make things worse, they show you Agent Smith, who if you recall is posed as a I named Bain and he is onboard the hammer. With Neo and Morpheus and the whole crew. What’s gonna happen?
