Hey everybody, its Isaac, I’ve got a special announcement for you. I’ve got some big, a big change a big shake up, if you will, on the podcast delivery. As you know, I have a video version of the show I do. And I’m gonna give you the short version in case you want to move on with your day. The short version is I you know, I have the got the supporter feeds right? The tier two on the supporter feeds to get the video for Patreon and VIP section. I’m changing the price from $20 a month to $10 a month. I’ll explain why if you want to hang out for the long version. Also, the other part of this special announcement I’m changing the rockfon from a supporter feed to a free feed, which means no more bonus content. No more Early Access, no more ad free. That’s only going to be on the Patreon in the VIP. All right. I don’t want to make this happen in November. So like now. And I know that’s gonna be a little tricky to navigate for some people, right? Some people are going to be unhappy about that. But I gotta if you want the longer version, let me explain what’s going on. First off, what’s tier two, if you’re unfamiliar, maybe you’re not on a supportive read. I do ad free video versions of the podcast and it’s basically just me talking into a camera. For now, right like Sunday I plan on spicing it up, you know, cuz some of these creators, they put all these great stock photos and stock video and all this cool stuff. And, man, I’m a one man army, I don’t have the time for that. Someday I hope to do that we’ll see. We’ll see where the good Lord takes me. But for now is basically me talking into a camera talking to you. Like for me personally, like I’d rather just listen to it. I don’t need the video. But hey, some people like the video. And I get it right because sometimes I’ll pull up a tinfoil hat and watch the sort of the video on the corner of my screen. I get it. So But and if I have movie clips, because I do movie analysis, I’ll play the clips if I can get them if I can procure them. So you got to see the movie clips. Other than that, it’s not too fancy, right? Yes, that’s me being a terrible salesman and telling you. I don’t know if it’s worth it for you. But some people like it, so I got to offer it right. So yeah, it’s like YouTube style me talking into the camera. Anyway, so what changed? Well, nothing, nothing’s gonna change, the price is gonna change that’s it was 20 bucks a month. Now it’s $10 a month, you’re still gonna get, you know, when you’re on the supporter feed, you’re still gonna get all the videos, which I actually upload to rumble to unlisted private links. So you can watch at free, I don’t have to worry about the copyright stuff as much on rumble. You’re still gonna get the tier one stuff, the free books early access all the bonus content. But that’s what it’s only going to be on Patreon and VIP section. That’s it. And why did I do this? Well, it’s because I felt $20 A month was way too much to charge for this benefit. If you recall, I had different tiers structures, and I had to reshuffle them a little while ago. And what’s crazy is that I’ve got a lot of folks out there who just want to support the mission. And I appreciate that. And they’re willing to chip in more every month. And and so don’t think this is some kind of Smite trust me like, I think that’s very nice. I’ll take the support. I just always felt that $20 which was the original tear to price when I set up Patreon. And it used to do other things. I don’t even remember what it used to give you. I didn’t think I thought man doesn’t it’s not really a ton of added value. You know, to jump from $5 to 20 bucks. I always thought man I feel bad about this. I feel like me. I don’t know if I love it. Some people did it because they want to support and that’s great. I appreciate that. But I’ve always kind of felt like well for the people who are shopping around and trying to get some value. I just don’t know if it’s worth it. So I’ve always wanted to do it. But fun fact. I, you know, I’ve been thinking about this forever ago since this started. And I never pulled the trigger because there’s actually a ton of work you got to do behind the scenes on Patreon to because you can’t go in there and say okay, tier two, it’s gonna go from 20 bucks to 10 bucks done. You can’t do that. I had to go through manually every post which is six 700 posts. This whole weekend I spent doing it open the post, hit a button that enables the new tier, hit the save button, close out the tab open the new tab it takes it’s a pain in the button and that’s why I didn’t do it a long time ago and for whatever reason I didn’t think much of it and forgot all about it. So I added a new tear to $10 amount. Jessica hit me up said hey, I can’t see any of the posts. So why and then it dawned on me so oh my god, I forgot. I’ve got to go through and manually update every single post because Patreon doesn’t have The option to just change the price of a tear. frustrating, but I did it, it’s done. Now. Now if you sign up for the new $10, tier two, you can get access to everything as you did before. And then rockfon, right, because I got some people that support on rockfon. And they’re probably they’re gonna not love this. Right? And I apologize in advance. Here’s the issue I have, right and Rocklands great because they don’t censor anything, then all that nonsense. And for as long as I’ve been making content that people want the video versions, and for me, so the video version is always such drama for me, okay. It adds some processing time, it limits how much because I got to sort of doctor myself up so I don’t ever get a total scumbag, as I do, but anyway, it’s just drama, right? If something interrupts me, I can just hit pause, like it’s a whole thing, right? And then YouTube bans me everywhere, and they’re constantly censoring me. And half the times I upload videos to YouTube and some other Bozo says that I’m taking his copyright by, I don’t even know what they just file copyright claims on your crap and then take all your ad money. It’s crazy YouTube’s nuts, I wish it would just shut down. But Roxanne’s a much better alternative. And then we also have another issue going on that I need to explain. You know, because Patreon when I, when you start Patreon, they want you to set up tiers there, like you got to offer different packages for different supporters. And I wish I’d never would have done it, I wish I would have been like, No, you get one 10.1 $10 tier and that gets you everything done. I wish I would have just done that. But so if you’re thinking about doing it, that’s it’s a pain in the butt. Because you gotta constantly sort of figure out ways that you know, people want to support you at different levels you want what are you gonna give them you know? Anyway, so I’m going to make my rock and rock Finn channel free, okay? And just see how it goes, we’re going to ride it for a few months, see what happens? Because on there, I’ve got 25,000 followers. I thought about this the other day, this is what prompted everything. And I looked at my videos, I’m only getting maybe 300 views per video, 400 views per video. I said, What the hell does 25,000 people on here following me and I thought, oh, it’s probably because I got it on the because on rockfon, I can set videos to premium, meaning only the paid subscribers, which is I think, 15 a month, 1499 a month. Only the 1499 a month people can see it. And the other option is I set it to free and then anyone go on to anyone at all, like YouTube, right? And I thought, Man, if I got 25,000 subs on there, and then I tell every one of you out there like hey, you can watch it for free. I think that’s a better option that it gets more people watching. But then then it’s like, well, now I’m kind of screwing the tier two folks, because it’s like, what exclusive thing do they get? You know, I can’t just give the videos away at the same thing. So I’m kind of in this weird catch 22. So the way forward on the best way I can think of is I’m going to make the Vit rockfon videos free. But they’re going to have ads, they’re not going to have early access, they’re not going to get the bonus episodes, all of that is only going to be on Patreon. And VIP. And that’s another reason why I made tier 210 bucks. Because for some because I’ve had a lot of people leave rockfon and go to Patreon and say, I was only really listening to your stuff. I don’t listen to anybody else. Because Rockford, it’s 1499 you get access to everybody’s stuff. And I thought well, I mean this way, it’s like if they are doing that, they can still save a few bucks and come over to Patreon or VIP section. Right? So that’s my way of sort of, what do you call it? Extending the white flag to the rockfon people that that are like, hey, what why are you doing this to me, right? So yeah, that’s what’s going on there. We have our interest for a few months, see how it goes. And we’ll make a judgment call on the rockfon thing later. Like if things aren’t panning out, and the numbers aren’t coming up or whatever, I’m just gonna bag on it completely just bail on it. And just stick with uploading for Patreon VIP section. And then for as far as YouTube because people say what about the YouTube? Well, I’ll still do my lazy upkeep my half assed effort, meaning you’re gonna have to wait a month or two to see the video. Because I don’t like it on there every so often because YouTube’s the worst. I hate them. I hate them. I’m sorry. It sucks because so many people use it, but they’re the worst to deal with.

They’re the absolute worst. And the worst part is you do all this hard work. You make these videos, you upload them, you title them, you tag them, you do all this crap. They run for half a day and either you get a copyright block you get community violation, or worse yet, some other jerk out there says Oh, that’s my video content and then they file a copyright claim and then YouTube doesn’t look into it. They’re just like yep, And now they get to run ads on your video and they collect the money on your work. It’s nuts. YouTube is nuts. I don’t know why people still make videos on there. But so yeah, don’t even bother with YouTube because I’m now I’m gonna just put the, the videos for free on rockfon You know, every now and then we’ll upload every month or two, I’ll put some on YouTube just to keep the you know, because we’re a lot of people hanging out for whatever reason. So I’m gonna have links in the show notes for all these things. So in conclusion, if you’re on rock, Finn, thank you for your support. Appreciate that, there’s still a few of us on there, by all means, you can stay on the premium feed there and join all the other channels, you know, tinfoil hat, all these great channels that are on there that have premium posts, but I’m going to make my rockfon A free channel, probably starting November, I guess. Or now, I don’t know, screw it, we’ll do it now. So that everyone can check it out. And that means I gotta go through every single post and change it to a free post.
