Scientology Alien Space Cathedral in New Mexico
A British BBC reporter John Sweeney wrote a book about Scientology and his experiences in researching the church. The book, titled “Church of Fear: Inside the Weird World of Scientology,” releases soon (Amazon says it has a publication date of January 7th?) .
In the book, he highlights a little known area called the Trementina Base in New Mexico that contains what he calls the “alien space cathedral” and a message to extraterrestrials. In it is a titanium-sealed bunker with founder L. Ron Hubbard’s writings that can withstand a nuclear blast. Weird stuff.
Here’s more from the NYDailyNews.com:
The creepy crop circles are a salute to space creatures, and also act as a marker to “guide Clears, (high-ranking Scientologists) returning from space to find Mr Hubbard’s works after a nuclear Armageddon wipes out humanity,” Sweeney writes.“Its vault houses the lectures of church founder L Ron Hubbard on gold discs locked in titanium caskets sealed with argon,” the excerpt says. “The cathedral is H-bomb proof, protected by three 5,000lb stainless steel airlocks.”Sweeney writes that he tried to visit the site with Marc Headley, an ex-Scientologist who says he was given spiritual guidance, or “audited,” by Tom Cruise and beaten up by church leader and Cruise pal David Miscavige.Tom Cruise and John Travolta say the Church of Scientology is a force for good. Others disagree. Award-winning journalist John Sweeney investigated the Church for more than half a decade. During that time he was intimidated, spied on and followed and the results were spectacular: Sweeney lost his temper with the Church’s spokesman on camera and his infamous ‘exploding tomato’ clip was seen by millions around the world. In THE CHURCH OF FEAR Sweeney tells the full story of his experiences for the first time and paints a devastating picture of this strange organisation, from former Scientologists who tell heartbreaking stories of families torn apart and lives ruined to its current followers who say it is the solution to many of mankind’s problems. This is the real story of the Church by the reporter who was brave enough to take it on.
