Rage Against the Machine could be working on new album
RATM has been saying they’re officially done for years now, but a recent interview with bassist Geezer Butler might have let a cat out of the bag on news of a new album:
Butler’s comments appeared in an interview with Metal Insider, while he was discussing Black Sabbath’s upcoming North America tour. Because they have not reconciled with Bill Ward, the group still requires an outside drummer. So far, they have been relying on the skills of two different stickmen: touring musician Tommy Clufetos, and Rage co-founder Brad Wilk, who plays on Sabbath’s upcoming LP.
“We’re not sure yet [which drummer we will use],” Butler said. “We don’t know because I think Brad’s got commitments with Rage Against the Machine … It’ll probably be either Tommy or Brad, depending on their commitment.”
