The rock group ‘As I Lay Dying’ has/had a front man named Tim Lambesis who just got sentenced to six years in prison for the attempted contracted murder of his wife. Here’s the sum-up from RollingStone.com:
Undercover police arrested Lambesis last May after he had begun asking around his gym in hopes to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, Meggan, with whom he had adopted three children. He gave an undercover detective $1,000 cash and instructions on how to carry out the murder. He initially pleaded not guilty but entered his guilty plea in February.
If you’ve fallen out of the metal scene like me and don’t know who As I Lay Dying is, they are a heavy metal band with a handful of albums that peaked here and there on the Billboard all the way into the top 10. What’s odd and unique about this metal band is their self-professed Christian faith (all five members are/were Christians). Although they are apparently not a gospel band (Wiki claims they don’t mention God or Christ in any of their songs), they used to be exclusively believers of the faith.
However in the 14 years of the band’s history, the last few were spent transitioning over to being a non-Christian band.
Grasso said the singer emailed his wife while on tour in August telling her that he didn’t love her anymore, expressing that he wanted to end the relationship and that he no longer believed in God. Meggan Lambesis later learned her husband was having an affair and had been involved with “a string of women,” the prosecutor alleges.
Now, let’s be clear that I’m not one of those goodie-two-shoes Christians and I think that even non-Christians (e.g. atheists, or any other religion) all have the capacity to be good or evil. So just because the band left their Christian roots, doesn’t necessarily mean they are inclined to do rotten things, but it does indicate that maybe some demonic influence crept into their lives. This influence could very well be the entertainment industry…
Here’s an example of what I’m talking about where you can see that the wife said he was acting strange (which I read as demonic influence). Be sure to take note of the predictive programming that influenced him to the point that he verbalized this (from RollingStone.com):
Meggan spoke at the sentencing, claiming that Lambesis’ behavior had changed in the months leading up to his arrest on May 7th, 2013. The day before he was apprehended, he had texted her asking for the social security numbers of their three adopted children. In regard to the murder plot, she referenced Lambesis’ favorite line in Total Recall, when Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character shoots his wife and says, “Consider that a divorce.” (Lambesis has a side project called Austrian Death Machine, for which he does a Schwarzenegger impression and titles songs with references to the actor.)
However, it should be noted that recently Lambesis has seem to have changed his tune (from RollingStone.com):
Lambesis has also been reevaluating his values. A good portion of the statement clarifies that the group is not a “Christian metal” band, but that Lambesis has been questioning “what originally convinced him to abandon belief in God.” Moreover, it says, “after much brokenness and repentance, he sees things differently, considers himself a follower of Jesus, someone submitted to the will of God, or whatever you want to call it.”
So, is it possible that he was under the influence of an Archonic demon, and now he is free of its grasp?…
