Illuminati symbolism in OK Go’s “Writing’s on the Wall” music video

OK Go released an illusion-filled video called Writing’s on the Wall that is pretty trippy. I had to watch it twice and I’ve got to say I’m impressed with the innovation of it. Of course, I can’t just let it go at that and decided I’d post about Illuminati symbolism found in it. Is OK Go in the Illuminati? No. Does the video have Illuminati symbolism in it? Not really. Would it be fun to claim it as such in order to cover some of the symbolism? Meh. I’m gonna do it anyways.

First thing I saw was the optical illusion of the triangle:

This symbolism is covered in Decoding Illuminati Symbolism: Triangles, Pyramids and the Sunhere’s a taste of it:

The three sides of a triangle represent the number 3, and this concept is used in gematria, the ancient Babylonian/Hebrew numerology practice that assigns numbers to words or letters (and also other mystical schools of thought). The number 3 is representative of the spirit realm (or the Heavens), while in contrast, the number 4 represents the physical realm (the material, three-dimensional world we can relate to). The number 3 is a number of the divine, showing the union of male and female that create a third being. It’s the number of manifestation; to make something happen.

Next up is the cube symbolism:

This one is covered in  Illuminati Symbolism of Saturn and Satanhere’s a small excerpt:

The lineage of the Illuminati traces back to mystery schools of the east. The cube represents earth in Pythagorean, Indian (Indian deities standing on cubes), Egyptian (Pharaohs sitting on cube thrones), and Platonic traditions. It’s even realized as a sacred symbol today by the Freemasons (believed to be Illuminati affiliated) when they stand on an oblong square (cube) during particular rituals to the Worshipful Master.

We’ve seen cube symbolism in other music videos as well like the Illuminati symbolism in Eminem’s Rap God video:

And also 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s Yuck video:

And finally there is the ladder and stairs we see throughout the video. I could guess they were innocuously there because they needed it for the shots, but what fun is that:

The ladder is Freemasonry symbolism…

The ladder represents Jacob’s Ladder and is featured in the First Degree initiation ceremonies. The symbolism is for lessons learned in life (e.g. justice, charity, etc.), or sometimes different sciences being pursued. The ladder could also have Hermeticism roots, as some theorists speculate, which would tie us into the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn occult-magick society (which ties us back into our dear old friend Aleister Crowley and his magick trance on the entertainment industry).

…as evident in my post on the film symbolism of The Shining:

…and Bruno Mars ft Lil Wayne’s Illuminati Mirrors video:

…and the Disney Frozen conspiracy theories:

And those stairs are also symbolism of Freemasonry showing the upward mobility of initiates to the 33rd degree (in Scottish Rite Freemasonry; allegedly the Knights Templar were members who helped push the speculative Freemasonry but I digress):

Freemason Stairs

We’ve seen the stairs in all kinds of music videos like Jason Derulo’s Talk Dirty to Me:

…and Nelly, Nicki Minaj, and Pharrell’s Get Like Me video:

The writing truly is on the wall…
