The Devil Wears Prada released a video for the track entitled First Sight and it had some of the symbolism we see so often by today’s musicians. It starts out in this room where the actor in the video is scrawling away at the DWP logo (the triangle with three lines):
You can see his pencil is his ability to create art (a metaphor for the musicians creating music). On a much deeper level this could be a reference to the reptilian shape shifters; or Archons. These evil entities lack the ability to be creative and that is why they use the entertainment industry to push their symbolism. These are Gnostic beliefs from the Nag Hammadi library; as posited by theorists like David Icke and Jay Weidner. Ironically, at some point he draws the All Seeing Eye, as is evident on the paper:
That eye is a metaphor for calling upon the Illuminati and elites who run the music industry. This guy is about to cave in and submit after toiling away at his craft and not having success (you can see his walls are plastered with his ‘art’).
After some time a single eye forms in the wall and sucks him in using that same tether that was tied to his pencil. I believe this is symbolic for saying the industry also sucks you in once you call upon its name:
There’s that big ol’ All Seeing Eye, or the Eye of Horus as Aleister Crowley identified:
Then the book starts going nuts and all the artist can seem to output is all seeing eyes, which is what we get with Lady Gaga and the like. This symbol shows that once the artist calls upon the Illuminati for help getting their art out there, they no longer have control and their art is forever tainted with the Illuminati symbolism:
The logo for DWP features that inverted triangle, which appears to have potential Illuminati connections:
Interviews with the band suggest otherwise, but to me I see an inverted pyramid with three scratch marks down it, which seems to be mocking the Holy Trinity, while giving us the inverted feel of Satanic presence. Here’s what I found on Tumblr when the band was asked about it:
We wanted a new band name logo and we also wanted an icon. Basically you would be able to go into Hot Topic, or some store and say, ‘Okay, this is Misfits, this is Black Flag, this is Slipknot, this is Avenged Sevenfold, Rise Against, Alkaline Trio,’ and you can tell all of that by seeing something without any words. Whether it’s a heart with a skull in it, a heart with an arrow coming out of it, or whatever it is, we wanted something like that to represent us to.
We hired this guy named Cory [Holms] who is a very prominent graphic designer. He did The Soprano’s logo and whatnot, so we got him to try and come up with something for us. His idea was a pitchfork and he lofted it up in a circle. We saw it and didn’t really like the circle, and it reminded all of us too much of Underoath’s ‘O’ so we took the lines and not to be too trendy but, triangles are very popular right now so we put it in a triangle. We put it right side up, and then flipped it upside down, which is basically what we came up with except we shortened the lines.
A lot of people are like, ‘What does it mean, what does it mean?’ and it doesn’t mean anything. Really, the only thought behind it was the lines are meant to resemble a pitchfork. Sometimes I tell people it is meant to be a middle finger coming out of a fist, flipping off the world.
Here’s that video, see what you think (there’s more beyond the book; the guy goes out in the ocean, does some stuff with a ship, etc.):
