Google Goggles One Step Closer to Embedded Internet on Eye

Ray Kurweil predicted we’d have embedded screens on our cornea with which we’d be able to access the internet. The screens can be powered through body heat and access city wide wi-fi systems. Well, Google pushed that one step closer to reality with their Google Goggles. These glasses will use a camera that monitors the world around the user and relays information about friends, buildings, etc. nearby. It’s reminiscent of Minority Report where Tom Cruise walks by advertisements specifically tailored for him. Google also has been working with Kurzweil’s Singularity University in California, where students learn about technology and how to manage them in the future.

The Terminator.
