David Childress Attacked as Fraudulent

Jason Colavito (a “reality” theorist of sorts) posted an article that attacks David Childress from Ancient Aliens. I guess there was prior arguments over whether or not he was truly an ancient astronaut theorist, you can read more about that on the link. Colavito claims that Childress advocates whatever theory is in the trending at the time. The post does offer some damning quotations from previous books of Childress juxtaposed against some Ancient Aliens narratives. I’d have to read the actual books for the context of the quote before accepting it in full. In one comparison, Colavito compares a Lord Pacal quote from a book Childress wrote in 1992, versus an Ancient Aliens quote from 2012. I think a theory can change over the course of 20 years, so I might disregard that one. Some of the others do bring up questions, but like I said, I’d have to dig into it some more. Check it out for yourself:

  1. You do realize you said that President Monroe escaped the white house during the war of 1812… It was president Madison, and Dolly Madison saved many relics of the early Republic. This was a very bad mistake on your part. Completely makes anything you say disreputable, as I am a 1812 scholar. Don’t claim aliens when you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground.

  2. @Gavin: Someone misspeaking and saying Monroe instead of Madison is an understandable slip, especially considering they are presidents from the same time period in history. You sound like the “ass”, Gavin for criticizing someone on such grounds.
