It’s no surprise that Netflix would support the online legislation SOPA which sets up censorship of all online activity in the name the interest of preventing pirating of material. The SOPA legislation didn’t make it through the US Congress, but now Netflix is starting a Super PAC (Political Action Committee-a way to funnel money to politicians to support agendas) to support SOPA-like bills specifically. The SOPA-like bill is called CISPA-Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, which campaigns itself as a protection from cyber attacks, but as you could imagine it could have similar legislation to the SOPA and PIPA failed acts.
