Police May Subpoena Your Facebook Account Details

Posted by on April 9, 2012

The Boston Phoenix researched the Craigslist Killer’s case and found that the Boston police department put a subpoena on Facebook pages and Facebook proceeded to hand over member account details of the Craigslist Killer, Philip Markoff. The investigation results in saying that FB doesn’t discuss subpoenas and matters of privacy for obvious reasons, they want to keep public knowledge of their cooperation with law enforcement to a minimum.

As a side note, the article does contain a good amount of information regarding the actual Craigslist Killer case with transcripts and other details.
